Former Tennessee governor Bill Haslam is expected to complete his purchase of the Nashville Predators in mid-May.
Pending approval, the deal values the team at $880 million — just shy of the largest price in NHL history.

At least it isn’t Jimmy.
You make a crazy amount of money as a politician.
I’m not quite sure what to make of this. On the one hand, it’s a guarantee that the team stays in Nashville for the long term and hopefully having a big personality in the owner’s box will encourage Trotzy to make some fire moves and get us back to the Cup fast.
On the other hand…we’ve all seen what it looks like for ownership to kill a team, even with Bill’s brother in Cleveland. I’ll be pulling for the boys in mustard gold for quite some time, so I’m both excited and very nervous to see how this summer goes. Should indicate a lot about how aggressive Haslam and Trotz are planning on being over the next few years
This has to mean there’s only a non-zero chance of relocation happening if he’s head honcho. Just hope he wants to see a good product and doesn’t meddle in the day to day.
This is will be interesting going forward, that’s for sure
As long as he doesn’t do what his brother has done with the Browns
If Tennessee Football pre Danny White and Cleveland Browns are any indication, eek. Haslam involvment isn’t what I want for the Preds
