It’s the year of our lord 2025 and the Brind’Amours become the first father-son duo to win the Stanley cup.

Having only watched a couple of his games – does anyone know his style of play/comparable players? Does he play like his dad (maybe not to Rod’s level but style wise)?

    when could we get him?

Temper expectations people…it’s been rumored that the Canes didn’t draft him because of undue expectations it would place on the kid. He isn’t an NHL player immediately, he’s a developmental prospect who will need time in the AHL. Bottom 6 center but could be an effective checking player. A bit like Jack Drury but a little less skilled.

The last thing we need is the distraction of the coach’s kid playing for us. Nepotism is NFG in any business; I don’t care if we’re talking about the boardroom or the lockerroom.

he’s older than Rees, Ponomarev, and Suzuki, while playing against a lower level of competition than they are in the AHL. Rees and Pono especially, but Suzuki also have been developing their two way game to play up to our standards, while also finding ways to produce for a team that’s really struggled with injuries and stuff this year.

I guess if he wants to play for the org, cool? But he’d be AHL depth with not a clear path to the NHL. Hope he can find a good fit and a org he wants to play for that can provide a good opportunity for him to both develop and maybe get a shot in the NHL.

Come on home, sweet child, come on home

  8. I know everyone thinks this is for the Canes, but does the Canes’ AHL team even make the most sense? They are in flux and may need to be shared with another NHL team. Newish coach? ( assuming the wolves coaches moves) He’s probably not the first or even 2nd C in the AHL depth charts either for us.
