I’m just happy we’re playing meaningful games in April
Devon Levi’s performance is mostly occupying my brain but I also laugh everytime I think of Owen Power’s shootout goal because it gets more ridiculous the more you think about it
We pick a rookie defenseman… in the shootout… on a team loaded with scorers… against one of the best goalies in the world… with playoffs on the line… and he slams it home top shelf. Full credit to Granato thinking outside the box.

We are still in the endgame boys, either way this season has been a hell of a ride! Go Sabres!!!
All I can mentally picture regarding Devils fans is Puddy from seinfeld
This is the boss fight, for sure. The Devils are an elite team with something to fight for tonight, and we’re fighting for our life on the tail end of a back-to-back.
Thankfully they didn’t have to travel overnight, so that’s a small boon.
Cozens is playing injured, which is a shame. If he was playing at 100%, it does a lot to open up Thompson. With both of them injured on the same line, it seems like we can’t expect production from them tonight.
Skinner is due, Tuch is due. Both have been playing very well. That line is going to need to show up big for us tonight.
Dahlin/Power need to show up for sure. Both hopefully are feeling hot after the past two games. But the b2b is going to be harder on them because of the minutes they play. Need another good game from Joki, Boosh, and Stillman.
And of course the big question mark is Levi. If he can play he’ll be in, I have no doubts about that.
Getting ahead of myself here… but if we win tonight, our next game against Ottowa is a trap game if I’ve ever heard of one. ~~In enemy territory~~, 3rd game in four nights, and OTT just beat CAR last night so they are feeling good and would love to kill our playoff hopes.
If the Sabres are still in it, that game is going to be *special* for anyone who can get a ticket. The stadium will be absolutely roaring.
If we make it past that, Columbus will be a trap game. But with everything on the line, you just have to hope the boys will give it everything they have and more. But, we have a fucking elephant to eat before we get there, and we just have to take it one bite at a time.
Two tough games remaining. Tonight’s the hardest in terms of competition, but Ottowa may be tougher in terms of endurance and mental focus.
No matter what happens, this season was a smashing success. But god damn do I *want* this.

Mitts, Levi, Quinn, Peterka & Jost are gonna do the damn thing.
Levi is awesome, but I also noticed that we’ve been seemingly playing better without 71 in the lineup. Coincidence?
