Jack in the post game about Luke: « I hope we play 1000 games together » 🥲

  2. Mry64_

Why did Jack not get a solo lap?

  3. artestsidekick

Great win. 20th goal for Tatar. Record 97th point for Hughes. Huge game from Wood, Bastian, Tatar, and VV. Only blemish was Luke Hughes not looking great out there. Not worried, given it’s his first game, but he looked like he needs some time to get used to the NHL, not sure he will have an impact in the playoffs.

Next match up for us is Vs Washington who doesn’t care about the game.

Next match up for CAR is Vs Florida that WANTS to win so they avoid Boston

  5. Fake-Death

Penguins walking their season off a cliff, hate to see it

I still can’t believe this is real life. I was hoping we would be a fringe playoff team at the start of the season playing meaningful games after the All-star break. We have 110 points, a superstar with Hughes, and the begening of a run that’s going to last for years. There is nobody in the NHL set up as good as we are for the long term right now. Can’t believe what we are witnessing this year and the Devils being one of the most dominant sports franchises for 20 years during the dynasty and we are breaking records from that era. It’s just crazy.

Love seeing what this team has become and what they have done. Makes the past 11yrs feel like nothing.

Bastian is the glue that keeps us together. If he plays every game, we’re winning the Cup

What a turnaround from last season. A laughing stock to fighting for a division title. The question is do we sit all the top guys to get them rested for round 1, or do we go for it all on Thursday?

  10. aasania

Bratt passing the puck to Hughes for that empty netter to break the points record warmed my heart

  11. isuzuki51

anyone have a link to the post-game interview with Jack?

  12. nsjersey

With the Pens’ loss, we can’t play them in the first round if we won the Metro.

Florida will still have something to play for to avoid the Bruins

  13. Regentraven

Was at the game section 22. It was WILD. Levi meditating every timeout was hella weird

  14. DevilJacket2000

So it looks like if we win the division, our opponent will be Florida since beating Carolina will give them WC1.

    HUGHESTORY:

    * Luke Hughes, you’re a New Jersey Devil.
    * Secondary scoring – Tatar, Woody, Siegs, and Boqy.
    * I hated, absolutely hated, Tatar last couple of seasons. I hated that he was consistently playing with Nico. I thought he was actively making Nico worse and begged for actual line mates for our captain. I can proudly say that I have had to eat a whole lot of humble pie this season. Tomas Tatar is truly one of our unsung heroes this season. That Mercer-Nico-Tatar line is something else.
    * We’re seeing so many players really getting going as the playoffs are about to pop off – Timo, Vitek, Bahl.
    * Jack Hughes beat the single season points record for the Devils and he was out for a bit and he had a slump for a bit. Imagine what ELSE he can do. Imagine what else he WILL do.
    * PK is also stronger than its been all season.
    * I cannot believe the Penguins absolutely fucked up their silver platter opportunity. Jeez.
    * It didn’t even feel like 11/7 tonight. It really felt like we were rolling four lines. Thats so fucking awesome to see.
    * Massive shout out to Jesper Bratt for trying to get Jack his record breaking point all game, ALL GAME. And then looking specifically for him for the empty net. I want Fitzy to keep Bratters AND Timo, but I want Bratt and Jack together for YEARS. FOR YEARS. Their dynamic and chemistry is something else.
    * You can tell how much this team loves each other with how they celebrated Jack. And I love this damn team with my whole heart.

I’m so sad we only have one more regular season game left. Thursday is going to be absolutely insane scoreboard watching and hoping Jack gets to 100 and Luke gets his first NHL point/goal. Can’t wait to do it again with you all then.

    Good luck next season, Sabres

  17. AboveTheRadar

Shouldn’t smaller Hughes have gotten the assist on bigger hughes record breaker?

  18. Willing-Bear4862

Is there video of Jacks post game interview?

  19. Ckynus

Ugh I like the idea of winning the metro but a hot Panthers team scares me way more than the Rangers

  20. cabeener

That’s everything I wanted in game 81. Holy shit was that fun

  21. roothockey

Luke impressed me. Kids gonna be a stud

  22. LaHondaSkyline

That was a fun game, and what a super fun season this has been. This team is so compelling to watch. As good as this team is right now, there are still things that are obvious flaws. But that only suggests that the future is even brighter than the excellent result this season, as this team is young and still learning, so those areas that are not so strong will likely be much better next year and thereafter. They have secured home ice in round one, and have a chance to win the Metro if the cards fall right on Thursday. Either way, tonight at the Rock was a great experience and a great environment (loud). And this entire season has been one that I will never forget.

Bratt to Hughes is such an unbelievable upgrade from Ruutu to Tootoo.
