In the last 2 months, JT Miller has been a different player and a different person. He is now keeping his turnovers and temper tantrums to a minimum AND producing points at a solid rate.
There are several factors. The most obvious one is the coaching change. But I also believe that their resolving the Bo Horvat situation and the Islanders giving Horvat an even bigger contract than JT has also been a big turning point.

There's no doubt this guy is an elite player. But that only makes you wonder why so many other teams had no hesitation dealing him. Caveat emptor.
But Horvat is back to being mediocre while Beauvillier who the Canucks got in the trade is handily out scoring Bo so not the worst trade especially with the 1st + prospect.
Horvat hasn't lit it up since moving to the Islanders. He has been a minus player nearly his entire career. Miller has been a plus player most of his career
He’s been soo soo much better 200 ft game since the all-star break. He’s still a ppg player too. The hate is too much in my opinion.

As a pens fan I would love miller I think his personality would mesh well with sullivan’s and he would be great for us offensively
Vancouver media is toxic to the extreme. JT Miller is a passionate player, but he's liked in the dressing room. If you watched that Pittsburgh Chicago game, you'll have heard that the pens fans booed them at the end of the game. Where are the news articles about how horrible pens fans are? They aren't coming, but in Vancouver, multiple outlets all across the country would be crowing about how horrendous Vancouver fans are for booing their team. In short, any story about anything happening around the Canucks should be taken with approximately a metric ton of salt.
