  1. I can see Savoie starting slow. During development camp, he was hurt so he sat out. I expect going into the season, he was still nursing the injury a bit so that would cause anyone a slow start. The AHL, vs the WHL… if I remember right the NHL has a policy that if they have Jr. eligibility, they are supposed to send them back to the JR team… rather than the AHL. I think Adams first round was a 3X nailed it. I do look forward to seeing him in the Blue and Gold.

  2. Adding Savoie to the 2023/24 Sabres will be adding a very skilled player to the bottom 6 😮. That in itself will be very fun to watch 👍

  3. He reminds me a lot of DB . Size , skill set
Hopefully he is on our roster next year full time bottom 6 . Can replace #71

  4. The Buffalo forward roster currently doesn’t have a lot of space. A good question is – who won’t be on the roster next year?

What about Rosen or Kulich or the couple Russian kids drafted in the 2nd round?? Then there’s also Ostland……jeez, that’s 6 bodies

  5. Not going to be alot of Spots open so i see Savoie in Rochester next year. Oloffson out Kulich in . Tuch Skinner Thonpson Cozens Peterka Quinn. Kulich Mitts Greenway. Krebs Jost Okposo.

  6. I just don't know how all these kids are gonna fit. We have so many good players who leaves and who stays

  7. Could Savioe go back to junior until January 1st then play in AHL when he hits age 20? He needs to earn it in AHL first. Next year Buffalo is actually trying to make playoffs and win cup so we need veterans.

  8. I was stoked when Savoie fell to us………im praying they dont rush him like they rushed Mitts. He needs a full AHL season before he'll be remotely close to ready for NHL. He needs to earn it first. Like Quinn and Peterka did. Oh and speaking of those 2 they totally remind me of Jonesy and Riley from Letterkenny. 👍👍

  9. Savoie is not eligible to play in Rochester next year per his league's rules. Nor was he eligible this past season either. It's either NHL, back to the Ice or finding another team overseas to play a year for this coming season.

  10. Im with you Wayne i think Savoie and Kulich will make the Sabres in Oct and be on the 3rd line with Casey Middelstadt. 4th line will Greenway Jost and Krebs.
Hinostroza(UFA), Olofsson(trade) and Okposso(UFA) wont be back next season. Girgenson will resign but will be a spare forward .

  11. I can’t wait to watch him play. I have a feeling they might rotate the up and coming kids in Rochester who are performing well.

  12. Will the NHL ever change the points system to a '3-2-1' format?

  13. After seeing this video, I went back to watch the Sabres Embedded video on the draft and its really neat how they picked Savoi, Ostlund, and Kulich (in that order) and yet their last guy has shown the biggest jump, and most promise to be bigger than the others. Adams tried everything thing he could to uptrade to get him after Ostlund and no GM wanted to trade their position and yet when it came time, he was still available. That was 100% meant to be.

  14. Savoie actually can’t go to the AHL next season because of the agreement between the CHL and NHL.

Next season, it’s NHL or back to the WHL for him. Similar to what Shane Wright had to do this year

  15. I think Kulich and Savoie will play together in ROC next year. Rousek and maybe Biro fill in for the roster turnover (Oky gone etc.). I think that would be smart to let Savoie and Kulich play a ton of minutes and key situations together for ROC. Also it’s likely they light it up ! Pass , Shoot , Score.

  16. Savoie….5-9 and 190….NHL sized forwards are drooling at the thought of grinding him into dust along the boards😢
Just too small, on lightweight roster to begin with…

  17. Savoie wasn’t eligible for the ahl this season and thats one of the reasons he played in the whl again. He also isn’t eligible next year for the ahl so he will either have to play in the Nhl, go back to the whl, or maybe play in Europe for a year.

  18. Agreed, why not bring him directly to the big club? I don't see Hinostroza making the team next year and if Okposo and Zemgus are gone there is room for him and Kulich, and who know what Adams has cooking beyond that.

  19. Savoie isn’t allowed in the AHL until his year 20 season, as per an agreement between the Canadian Juniors/NHL agreement. He couldn’t play for Rochester last season and he can’t play for them next season either. Since Kulich is from Europe, he was allowed to play for Rochester.. next season Savoie can either play for Winnipeg Ice, play overseas or go right to the NHL. I believe that he is good enough to take Olafsson spot and start with the Sabres next season. Right now, Savoie is totally over qualified to be playing in the WHL.

  20. I’m not sure if Rosen or even Ostlund become mainstays with the Sabres past next season. When you consider we have Thompson Tuch, Skinner, Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Greenway, Krebs, Mittlestadt, Kulich, and Savoie most likely to be on the Sabres next season. Where is a winger like Rosen going to fit?

  21. Savoie had a slow start, still recovering from a surgery, so you could prolly add another 15-20 pts.
