#nhl #hockey #highlights #bostonbruins #philadelphiaflyers

Is this year too good to be true or do the Bruins win it ALL? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
If they are beaten out I'll be surprised, I can't stand Boston but respect where it's due. I'll definitely be watching them just to see something special.
No need for the playoffs this year! Just give the Cup to Boston! Leafs will bow out in Round 1 as they always do…
I still hate Marchand 🐀 …. So … Let’s go Lightning !
Boston better go crazy come playoff home games
Salary cap era this is unthinkable. They could push it to 65wins!
Outstanding steady performance and will be a beast in the playoffs. Can they break the President's Cup curse?? Not many do but if any team can, this club will do it. So impressive.
Well there’s something to say about the average gpg was compared from then to now.
The average was about 10gpg back in the day. That’s mostly due to pad/goalie size technique. There’s a reason why no one does stand up anymore….
Todays game is dominated by goalies who average well over 6’ and the pads are huge compared to then. Not to mention the insane amount of training they get and basically get hand picked from all over the world. The best of the best. Same with players.
This isn’t a dig at older generation hockey players, because they still dominated the sport, but I would say most would be mid tier/3rd line at best.
Leaf fan and it's fantastic in my opinion. The captain took a pay, cut just shows these players play for each other ego on the back, new coach and great accomplishments individually especially 60 goals yesterday. Comparison to other times it's different more teams, cap era more parity. It's like the ole question if mario lemieux was healthy would he have broken Gretzkys records or in another way what if Gretzky was 6 ft 5 and 240lbs would rack up more. Are the islanders in the early 80s better than the team of Montreal in the 70s considering NYI played more rounds of hockey as opposed to the format of 3 rounds in the 70s. Let's enjoy the moment bcuz anyone who has a team to watch would definitely enjoy this if it was their team. Just admit it 😊
Screw Boston
The Perfection Line created in 2016 has been one of the best lines in league history. Ever since the 2016-2017 season the 3 of Marchand, Bergeron and Pasta have taken the league by a storm.
Well, as we know, in 4 major sports that no team currently still holding the best record in regular season has won the championship at the same year. Some record breaking teams have won but at least for the current record holders: Red Wings lost to Avalanche, Warriors lost to Cavaliers, Mariners lost to Yankees + Cubs lost to White Sox, and Patriots lost to Giants. However the Bruins should at least make all the way to conference finals.
that fact that they did this in this current era of the NHL proves how dominant they are. Now lets see if it relates into the playoffs, because if they dont get a cup it aint worth a thing.
Knowing the bruins, they’ll choke 2nd round😂
❤💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Said it for years that this team was being held back by Tuukka Rask shit goaltending… all the little Raskettes wanted to argue with me, well here ya go. First full season without him = Most wins in NHL history. This just shows that Rask was our weak link. Tim Thomas came up big and delivered in 2011… now Ullmark and Swayman have been incredible this year. If the Bruins win the cup I'll be happy, but I'll at the same time wonder how many we lost out on because we clung to that loser in net for so long.
Not a Bruins fan but congratulations on a stellar season. My Sens handed them 2 of their loses. It slim pickings to figure which bandwagon to join this postseason…at least in the east. I guess the Bruins could be the team unless I find myself pulling for another team. As long as the Leafs lose in the first round, I don’t really care who comes out of the east. West…Winnipeg, Oilers, or Vegas.
I am a huge Bruin's fan and a season ticket holder …. Please PLEASE stop talking about "if they lose the cup, this season is a waste". I could give ZERO SHITs if they don't get the cup.
Yes that would suck for a week or so, but this WHOLE SEASON has been one huge party. Great times and highlight after highlight. One small moment at the end (if negative but doubt it) will not ruin this season and this team.
Would you rather want to have a horrible season, and scrap into a wildcard spot (like the flames) and win the cup or break records over a 100year period and lose the cup? I would gladly pick the #2
What about power plays oilers are on top obviously their power play is 32.5 the next best team is Toronto at 26.1 cover 6% more
I see a Stanley Cup with there name on it.
I think they're gonna win the cup.
one of the greatest teams of all time, insane
If the Bruins can play like they did against the Devils and not the Flyers ,they'll win the Cup
I understand that boston is way over cap. Didn't tampa win the cup when being over cap?
swept by the lightning there getting swept by the lightning Swept by the lightning
Don Sweeney and Cam Neely have built a very special squad here. Who else but two Bruin Greats
out in the first round. take that to the bank
They ruined total points, it should have been Shootout loss counts as 1 point and overtime loss still 0 points as it always was… giving an extra point for losing before the 5 minutes was up should never have happened… 4th category for SOW shoot out wins could have been added for a bonus point, and not bunched together with regulation/OT wins.
I have been a Bruins fan since 1970 and the heyday of Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito. That being said, I hope we don't see a repeat of the 1970-1971 season where the Big Bad Bruins got upset in the first round by the hated Montreal Canadians. This team needs to keep their skates on the ground. For my money, far too many close games in the last 30 days. As much as I couldn't stand them, those Montreal Canadian teams from 1976-1979 were dominant. They ran other teams off the ice. I watched them do it several times. They also have several Stanley Cups to prove it. I think there was 1 year when they lost 1 game in the playoffs on route to an easy Stanley Cup win?
Boston had a good year, but the Habs record is better since they didn’t have shootout wins and points for losing in overtime.
Huge accomplishment. Can't compare them to the 67 Habs though who had games ending in ties, no shootout wins. The B's have had a good chunk of wins with 11 (so far) this season. In any case, this team is a juggernaut. Hats off
Congrats to the Bruins, I hope they have the classic 1 seed choke that we are so used too.
