Wouldn’t be the modern Wings if they didn’t send us home all summer shut out and frustrated.

  2. culturedrobot

Disappointing end to the season but the future is bright and my body is ready. GGs Wings bros, see you for the Bedard celebrations

  3. zze0001

Well we got through it. On to draft szn.

  4. abassassasssin

I dont care what anyone says. I had a great time watching this season and im so excited for next year. The future is bright yall

  5. T_Money

What a disappointing way to end the season. Was really hoping to finish .500 but damn that was a terrible way to go out.

  6. KiraEatsKids

Larks is not beatin the 2C allegations

  7. TrellysLastTry

Much better season, a lot easier to watch, and we still get a top 10 pick. Excited for next year already. LGRW

  8. Animaldance24

Well, we tanked the last week of the year. Hope it’s worth it, cuz that fucking sucked. H.A.K.A.S.

  9. TheBrothersClegane

Rasmussen, Burgers, Edvinsson, Kasper, great shifts from Veleno. This season had highs and lows but I am excited for this new generation and we still have the draft ahead of us. TRUST THE YZERPLAN. On to the draft!

  10. SaintUber95

So what team are you pulling for in the playoffs?

  11. blueeyedbastard20

Caps are going to OT. What is the tie breaker for standings?

  12. jfstompers

Talk about going quietly, brutal. Well we’re drafting what 9th well it was 8th last year. That’s it one spot in the standings.

  13. my_stepdad_rick

Depressing end to the season. Future of the team feels pretty bleak. Here’s hoping for some lotto magic, but not holding my breath.

Edit: I’ll be watching the boys either way. Ride or die.

  14. FragmentEx

I can’t wait until they hang Bedards number in the rafters

  15. Shotokanguy

How can you not be disappointed at the way those last several games went? It doesn’t matter, but there was nothing that made them worth watching. Wings put together a strong first period and then just faded as the game went on. And now we’re just praying that Washington gets 2 points. What a silly end to the year.

  16. Bobby_Orrs_Knees

    Welp, happy off-season, y’all.

  17. Himynameisart

Heck of a season, guys. Looking forward to next season with Bedard in our lineup. 🗣️

  18. TheBrothersClegane

I’m so thankful for Mickey Redmond. What a gem.

  19. Wheresthesass

Is what it is. Team was clearly checked out and had their minds on the golf course.

As for the season, not bad for Lalonde’s first and the team looked competitive for a good part, but couldn’t hold onto the momentum they had in February and fell apart starting with the previous Tampa loss.

Here’s hoping we cast off some of the deadweight, get some people who are hungry and tenacious, and go into next season ready to face adversity. Too many times this season, this team has tucked their tail between their legs the moment things got hot. The Ottawa back-to-backs that sealed our fate were prime examples. That has got to change if this team wants to succeed.

So, till next season. Which really just means I’ll still be here because I’m a degenerate.

  20. Square_Emergency

Fuck pizza boy jr, see you next season

  21. LtDouble-Yefreitor

Devils with a PP with 1:21 left in OT. Not good.

  22. mentalicca

    And Bally Sports Plus Cancelled!

  23. Shotokanguy

There it is. I never want to be in the position of rooting for bad teams to help us move up one spot in a draft again. Horrible feeling.

  24. Worst scenario realized, both Red Wings and Capitals losing. Onward to Bedard/Fantilli.

  25. Caps screwed us. We got 9OA pre-lotto

  26. BellsBeerBestBeer

Red Wings last four games of the season:

    0-4-0

    3 GF

    20 GA

  27. Magnetarix

Lmao 5-0, I actually forgot they even played tonight. Nice send off into summer

  28. CalgaryCheekClapper

I think Washington blowing their game costs us a draft position

  29. oceanic8675

Love ya, Mick. Best in the business.

  30. Problemwoodchuck

« The glass was half full this year, next year we’re going to three quarters » is a solid Mickeyism to end on

  31. DatsyukDekes13

Great season boys! Lots to be excited about and the coaching shift seems to be paying dividends (thank god)

Shoutout to Ken and Mick for 26 years as a broadcast duo! Thats my age 🤣 heres to another 26!

  32. TheBrothersClegane

Only 26 weeks until next season guys it will be here before we know it. Right? RIGHT?!?

  33. This game encapsulated the Wings season

    Dominates early

    Gave up a goal

    Opponents catch up

Wings are in most of the game due to goaltending

Wings can’t generate anything in offense

    Goaltending/special teams/defense fail them

  34. flatirons1982

Honesty I’m patient and can wait a bit for a playoff appearance. What will break my heart is if Mickey retires before then. Dude has no reason to do what he does aside from general love for the game and the org. Been a while since 2016 but I hope he’s here when we make it back. Guys a gem.

  35. seems there’s confusion in here.

Caps get the better odds at 1 and 2 by a one percent each.

    We’ll score bedard/fantilli at 20:1 odds instead of 17:1

not a huge difference. winning tonight would have taken us to 33:1 for each.

  36. fenderampeg

This sub added to my enjoyment this year. Thanks everyone!

  37. Sad I missed this game. Fun season boys.
