This league is so in consistency a guy moves his foot into the puck goal guy tripped into puck no goal this league needs to do something and so does Toronto that was the stupidest thing I have ever seen

people saying "its clearly a kick"… thats not the issue. the issue is that this rule is so inconsistent. theres been countless of times, even one against the rangers this season (vs flames) where it is so blatantly a kick, yet they call it a good goal. its ridiculous, and genuinely just seems like a complete 50/50 call (which the rangers will never get 50/50 calls their way)
Kane's miserable defense leads to two goals against on this one.
Toronto's second goal 6:19, Kane loses a board battle, and is just standing motionless wondering where the puck was, despite having a Leaf right behind him with it.
Toronto's third goal 7:12, Kreider chips it up the boards. Leafs defenseman seals it up and keeps the puck in the zone. Kane, being way too optimistic about that one, got caught flying the zone. That opens a passing lane for Toronto to continue their possession in the zone, and very shortly after a goal occurs. If Kane stays defensively responsible a little while longer, that pass is no longer available and the play is completely different.
The rule on kicking the puck needs clarification. A player can kick the puck anywhere on the ice except when it goes directly into the net. However, a player can direct the puck into the net with his/her skate. That’s confusing. My suggestion is to just allow kicking the puck at any time, regardless of whether the puck goes into the net or not.
Wow the rangers always lose video replays from Toronto. No way they can tell that puck was kicked in. Rangers have had that count against them from opposing players. I swear they have something against us up in Toronto
The first goal was 100% offside. There's no disputing it, but even as a Leafs fan, I kind of cringed on the 2nd goal when I saw the replay. It isn't as clear cut like everyone in the comment section is saying it is. It really could have gone either way , but I don't think either team cares much about the result and more about being healthy as possible for the show. Good luck Rangers fans!
In Japan, Blue Jays and Yankees games are broadcast but not NHL games. I envy the people of Canada and the U.S. who get to see the best matches in the world.

Just get rid of the kicking the puck rule…it's usually a subjective call and the league is looking for ways to increase scoring anyway.

i was there and the mf refs took back 2 goals. one with 1.2 seconds left. wtf
