  1. Mike you are a legend. This is a huge dissapointment but I think the coaching staff will find a way to turn this into a positive thing moving forward. I saw the personal accountability you took on with some of the underwhelming guys on the roster. All you can do is help those guys and give them the support to improve. Also the front office transition couldnt have helped. We know you are the guy to get the Pens to the top. Have a good offseason, cant wait to see what you can do next time.

  2. I believe in this group? Really?? He's said this all season. He's too stubborn to say anything else. Need a change. He hates playing new, young players in favour of old blood. Need new blood from top to bottom.

  3. Heckstall’s mess here. It’s not on Sid or Geno or Tanger I’ll tell you that. Such an abomination letting Heckstall guy this team like this. Traded every young asset or let them walk to Seattle.

  4. I'm sick of him. Same words every year while the team keeps getting worse. Bylsma was fired 5 years after the 2009 Cup and he had a better post-Cup record than Sullivan.

  5. Part of this falls on Mike Sullivan. The slow starts and sluggish first periods on top of the blown leads in the third period have as much to do with coaching as roster construction. That's just not playing the right way. Up by two goals, why are you coaching your Dmen to pinch down the wall, therein giving up a 2 on 1 odd man rush which gets the other team back into it. Just dump and chase and play non-flashy hockey. Don't forecheck, just put four guys at the blue line one up and make them dump or make them run the gauntlet. Play the old Senators / Devils trap game. It's not pretty, but if you lock just one or two of those games down, they're in. Or if they come prepared to play when the puck drops and score a couple more first period goals. I mean the amount of pass and leeway this guy gets because he was saddles with a poor bottom six is kind of perplexing. Everything and everyone has an expiration date. Name a coach in NHL history who has had 4 first round playoff exits and then missed the playoffs that got to keep his job.

  6. Pittsburgh and Chicago both use the same formula, they get their cups then fall into the basement quickly to get the picks to eventually win another cup.

  7. What is wrong?… let me count the ways,…I’m guessing not having a sole owner instead of having a group 👎🏼, Hextall is a horrible GM, Coaching has gotten stale and Jarry can’t stay healthy or consistent. I hope they keep the core 3 and Zucker and start cleaning house.

  8. "Why did you miss the playoffs?"
Answer: "The Blackhawks were just too good."
    Hahahahaha.

  9. He is my fav coach of all time. But it’s his time to go. So sad for me as I love sully, but again he has to go. But the 1. Move that needs to happen is hextall being fired. Won’t watch another penguins game until that happens

  10. Free Sully. He needs to by 1201 am tonight. SOS with Baston Boy. He can bring Carter and Dumolin with him out the door.

  11. I’m pushing 40. This is just the cycle for the Penguins. It is starting to seem like more than a strange coincidence that the team fades into obscurity just to acquire the best hockey players of all time. Another Lemieux or Crosby will fall into the Pen’s hands, and another great GM. It’s not far fetched, bookies in Pittsburgh used to call a lot of shots. And who cares? Hockey is boring in comparison to the 80s or 90s. Money and rules ruined sports. I watch hockey and football to fall asleep (these days).
