Mackinnon and Rantannen are playing on another level right now. I know that the playoffs are gonna be rough with the injuries and missing Landy, but don't count out the defending champs. They are for a reason.
McDavid might be the best regular season player but I honestly don't think anyone compares to MacKinnon in the playoffs (or the stretch heading into the playoffs)… The guy just has such an intensity, such a ferocity, an aggressiveness that I don't see in McDavid when it comes to the 'big games'… What a beast. Gonna be interesting watching this fun and deep team try to defend the Cup without their captain and being so battered and bruised, but I think they can still do it, their coach has done a hell of a job with having to juggle lines so frequently this season. Surely, he has to be considered for a Jack Adams award at the end of this year. Anyway, congrats, Avs!
Yeah boys say what you wanna say all the spectators wanna say otherwise but the truth is this team has heart and resilience and experience, so don’t count them out even though they don’t have their captain They haven’t had him all season long.’mm this is the new era. Even if they don’t go all the way they are going to put their blood sweat and tears into postseason and it’s going to be a fun thing to watch..

Never thought MacKinnon would get to 40 goals with such a slow start to the first half of the season. He’s been on fire since the all star break.
