  1. Dhali…its called age. Over 50, you have to warm up a lot and remember to not go as hard as before. As for EP40s contract, I have no issues with an 8yr x 10.75M deal. And yes, they have to be on a playoff pace before December is here. Otherwise, I could see a lot of players walk, and there will be no cap issues after the 24-25 season…but we won't have very many good players.

  2. They have to try OEL with Hronek before buying him out- terrible contract and performance below market but they need to add #1 picks , not trade them away and the buyout will hold team back for years.

  3. Noah Juulsen was a first round draft I mean a low one but still he's got pedigree. I say try and sign him

  4. If I were Petey, I’d say I’m not resigning. Trade me. Why would you want to waste your career here? Until there is new ownership I hope all good and great players avoid my home city like the plague.

  5. The Canucks are in a lose-lose situation. Even if the cap goes up by quite a bit, nobody is taking on those overpriced contracts without Vancouver giving up significant picks or prospects plus retained salary. But if they buy out OEL or someone else, they have significant, crippling dead cap to deal with. The best case scenario, sadly, is if OEL and Pearson stay on LTIR and they find a way to get rid of Myers, while taking back maybe a 4 million dollar cap hit. There's no easy way out of this because of the cap. I'm sure the Rangers would take Myers or OEL or another rich team, but they don't have the cap space to spare. Mini would be a good landing place for Boeser, but again, where do they find the cap space? I would have taken on Matt Dumba for the last year of his contract to get a deal done. He would be a UFA in July. But there's something about the air in Vancouver that makes GMs dumber than their own fans. Almost always it's the other way around.

  6. Trading OEL would cost them their first round pick. Now that would mean that the same player and his ridiculous contract would cost the Canucks two high 1st round picks. That's even worse then what happened with the Leafs and David Clarkson or Marleau. Mortgaging the future to get rid of bad contracts is a fools game and would literally make them the laughing stock of the league. Oh wait….

  7. If Quinn Hughes said he likes playing with Juulsen, you can pretty much guarantee he’s a goner. Just ask the last couple of guys who Hughes said he likes playing with (Tanev, Schenn)

  8. Management will shit the bed and the stars wont sign in Van-crapper.
