I got leafs Vs rangers in ECF. Leafs get past Tampa and upset boston in a thriller. Rangers beat jersey in 6, then take down Carolina in 6 as well.
I got oilers Vs avs rematch in the WCF. Oilers blow by LA in 5 then take down Vegas after they battle Winnipeg for 7 games. Colorado beats Seattle in 5 and then beats Dallas (who beat the wild in 6) in 6.
Oilers beat the avs in 7, rangers beat the leafs in 7.
Oilers beat the rangers in 6.
Eastern finals is BOS and CAR, Western is COL and VEG

I feel like if the Rangers beat the Devils, then vs the Islanders, and then face the Bruins in in the ECF it would geographically be the shortest road to the cup.
Thought it was gonna be rough for us Kraken fans. Being our first time and all, the Avs are a solid squad too. Might be a short first run for us this year. You never know. The mojo is high in Seattle right now.
Plus even if we lose the Leafs have the Bolts first round so we all know their streak is still alive. And that helps me fall asleep…

As a new NHL fan, could somebody please explain why the playoffs have to be an even split of Eastern and Western conference teams?
It seems quite unfair that a Western conference team, such as Edmonton would have an easier route to a final compared to Toronto, even though they had fewer points in the season.
I don’t know how to feel when non oiler flairs say Edmonton. It’s a very new and scary feeling.
