He says that every year and still ends up being garbage

Pretty telling how OEL felt about his own game when he said « I hope I’m helping in some ways »

We’ve all been there with Microsoft Office.

He’s had 3 bad years in his last 4. It would rock if he could be good but I’m really tiring of guys on this team parading out excuses for playing like dog shit at the end of season presser and promising next year will be better, and then next year they play like dog shit again.

Every year end presser has guys always say these amazing grand heartwarming sympathetic promising UwU good boy quotes when the season is over, they aren’t in the playoffs and they weren’t in a playoff spot for the last 6 months.

« Awh shucks you know he’s right. I bet he will be better next year and things will change! »

And then we watch the same sad sack team October-March, and then repeat this cycle come next April.

Am I right in recalling that the buyout is much less painful if we wait just one more season? I feel like that’s what will happen here with the Aquilooneys

The problem is that these injuries aren’t some kind of isolated event.

As OEL gets older, these injuries will start to become more frequent.

    just retire

    go home

maybe pay Loui Eriksson a visit

as much as i hate the contract and the benning trade, we really have to give the guy a shot next year to try to demonstrate he still has value. Myers is a lost cause though.

Oliver Ekman-Larssonessaince coming next season. If Schennaissance can happen, why not for him too? 🫡

I have faith in him. Him playing at his best will help the team massively next season. With a surprising rising star in Hirose, the defensive core suddenly looks not bad at all.

Yup. Sure looked like he had a broken foot. Just like Burr in 2013.

  12. NotoriousBananaHavoc

Maybe he will pull a EK and break out for 100 points

  13. Chaddikt

I knew that injury was gonna hurt his season when it happened

  14. Joe_Blob69

What I’m hoping is that he can get his defensive game back for next year and then we buy him out in summer 2024

    “I fucked my foot!”

    – Tourettes Guy
    – OEL

The thing about this is, why the fuck was he playing? If he needed to heal we would be better off letting him heal. Instead we got him playing like a replacement level player. It’s bush league to play players when they are too banged up to contribute.
