Firstly, for the last decade there have been more powerplays per game in the playoffs than the regular season. Secondly the Oilers are 3rd in even strength scoring so it's not "a big difference"

I mean korpi has the big save type of potential that an elite quick had back in the day. Saw it in the bubble against Toronto, singlehandedly changed that series. If he can do it against the big boys of edmonton that is definately X-Factor material.
Nurse had more points than most of the kings. A defensemen. Even Bouchard had more points than most kings. Hyman had more points than Kopitar. Their top 2 players COMBINED didn’t equal McDavid. And their 3 and 4th best players didn’t equal Draisaitl. So I don’t know what you are talking about.

This Oilers won in 7 games last ,, the major pieces added are Skinner and Ekholm ,,, Kings added Fiala, Gabrikov and Dowdy is back, a decent Goalie,, to me as soon as the Oilers get 1 bad goal against they will start to doubt , and this year they won’t be able to outscore their problems against the Kings,,, let’s not forget the core of LA players are very good Defensively
The last 2 weeks, We beat LA twice, only allowed 1 goal in two games to them…..We beat Avs ,….We beat Vegas quite handily….., In fact when we started hitting Kings they slowed down….Oilers are much bigger this year….Anyway, itll all begin on Monday. See you then….
X-factor for me is depth, LA has a lot of young guns that are going be future stars in league some day, and has any of that experiences last year made them grow. If so, I say LA in 6… there need be couple it factors to over come top heavy Oilers.
Jay Woodcroft is an inexperienced NHL Coach with one big Mcdavid driven year on his resume where he was SWEPT IN 4 GAMES AND COMPLETELY OUTCOACHED…Nurse has been relegated to #2 now and is not the same defender….Yammo is still in the top-6 looking to take more critical penalties as he struggles as a severely undersized Player to play with average sized to supersized men in the Playoffs and thats a bad dynamic the Oilers refuse to change…. Evander Kane has DEFINATELY NOT returned as a physical force or as a scoring force like he was before his injury and mehinks its a permanent drop-off…but the reason I took my money elsewhere is Skinner because I have never seen such blatant mismanagement of a high level asset anywhere except for in Edmonton where we have seen it HISTORICALLY…..who puts a real raw Rookie under the Playoff microscope with no reasonable backup to save him if he has 1 or 2 bad games and buries his teammates in Round One?…IMHO the Kings will blow out Skinner and the oilers in Game 1 and then in Gm.2 Jaylinda Woodcroft will put Skinner back in where he will lose again in a lower scoring affair that is nowhere near a defnsive standoff and then in will come Campbell to be lit up like a Christmas tree himself to set up the Sweep on April 23 in the PM in which Doughty will score into a empty net to win the only defensive game of the series in which Campbell plays lights out but cannot recover from Skinners choke,and the Kings will SWEEP THE OILERS IN 4 STRAIGHT.

LA won 1st two games earlier in the year, Edmonton won the last two games in the year. Ekholm is a beast on defense which has solidified the D and Skinner allowed 1 goal in last two games against LA.
