Sheldon Keefe à propos de Matthew Knies : « Il n’a même pas encore vu la glace de la Scotiabank Arena, encore moins patiné dessus. Tout indique que Knies commencera les séries éliminatoires comme un scratch
Sheldon Keefe on Matthew Knies: "He hasn't even seen the ice at Scotiabank Arena yet, let alone skated on it."
All indications are that Knies will start the playoffs as a scratch.

I’ve got no problem with that. His opportunities will come.
Glad to see common sense prevails.
The time to play a rookie in the playoffs is when you have home ice, so you can control the matchups and have an easier time sheltering him. If he doesn’t end up working out, then you can go with the safe option in Lafferty but at least now you know. I don’t really need to see Knies in game 1 either, but this logic makes no sense. If the Leafs end up struggling the first couple of games, inserting Knies to play in Tampa would be making things much harder for him
Reports coming from Tampa that upon hearing this news the Lightning are hooting and hollering, doing chest bumps and fist pumps in the lockerroom.
People are inane to want this guy in the first round at all.
He has looked good in his few games, but he has made some insane plays / passes that were borderland catastrophic that only turned out fine because the player on the received end of the pass managed to actually corral the puck and keep possession of it. Every game he had multiple plays like this where the margin for error was razor thin and it just barely turned out okay.
I love keefe trusting his vets. knies and lily will have their time, just like rasmus did.
A big reason to get him in this year was to burn time in his entry level. Seeing teams do this now so you can sign him earlier in his development and cheaper, get value in the years to come.
I’m fine with Knies not starting, but I hope he does get some minutes in this series to see what he can do. We might need him if we happen to get out of the first round!
i dont understand why you cant at least let him practice?
I’m just happy to see wild takes on this kid, both for and against him.
Never change, r/leafs.
