Honestly, that wasn't a bad interview by the two. You can see how Allvin's becoming more comfortable as a GM.
Regional sports is a distraction of us losing our freedoms and country.
This guy is a clown, no more than a puppet for Rutherford. They treated Boudreau badly and then said he deserved a chance to coach the team.
Going foward I do honestly think we are trending in the right direction, to be a Stanley Cup Winning team you dont have to have all the best players, you have to have a unit of synergy, teamwork. I think we are going in the right way as a franchise to being not just a playoff team but wanting to of course get to the ultimate goal.
So need new players, the players they want to send out nobody wants and they have negative cap space, good luck!
If a vacuum, this is a great presser. In the context of the history of the Vancouver Canucks, its not easy to stay optimistic. Prove me wrong Patrick!!
Allvin has improved immensely with his communication since Rutherford stepped aside from media obligations.

There only bad move is choosing Miller over horvat which because of Benning they couldn't sign both of them. Picking up kuzmenko and all the entry level signings have been huge
Everything is dandy and all is flowery. Tochheet is a gift from heaven, management is very happy, and in a few years we will be in the playoffs.
I hate nothing more than people constantly saying the last games were meaningless and we should ahve lost them. I good draft spot would be nice, but out team needs CULTURE. Bring in a good draft pick into a team that hates being there, and they won't stay, or wont help. These wins might have hurt our odds, but building the structure and trying to win is better for the team as a whole. The fact that we now have our captains trying to get the team to start camp early, etc… that kind of stuff is built off bringing our teams morale up.
This team is managed and coached by bullys and dolts.
Same story, different year Allvin talking about practice habits, clown organization literally its a big summer only heard that the last 10 years 🤡
LOVE hearing Alvin's answer regarding Nils Hoglander. That was kindof exactly my concern with how the team was handling him, bouncing him around and not having a clear place in the roster as a young guy, so them having the intent behind sending him down, giving him a clear job, and challenging him to do that job and be great at it is a great thing.
i feel better about the team now than when Benning was in charge
I'm optimistic but I don't know how long the fanbase can really stand any more time at the bottom. No one expects a cup from the canucks after 53 years, but at least a deep playoff run to keep the fanbase alive. There needs to be a delivery of results soon. It's been 12 years since we were at the top. We're a large market team that should be at the top consistently.
My biggest concern = the draft … Lekkerimaki so far looks like a bust

All i got from this presser was speed/offense is the focus. same same same same same plan. grit toughness sandpaper wins in the playoffs but canucks dont need to worry about sine they are never in them.

I guess if the team doesn't trend up quickly, EP will be gone when he hits UFA status. I sure hope this works, I'm getting too old to endure another round of endless 'retools', unless it's with ownership, maybe. @vancityreynolds, SCREW Ottawa, but the Canucks!
Have to say I'm really impressed with Tocchet so far. He speaks clearly, openly and you know exactly what he wants to see change. Hope the players can pick up on the challenge.
Allvin dodged the question about why they didn't try to get a better draft lottery position. He knows that's the biggest mistake they made and gonna regret it
