How all of the GR coaches was let go
Brian Lashoff played for the Griffins in 14 consecutive seasons and his first game was way back in the 08-09 season. 132 points in 629 career games, plus 75 playoff games.
Imagine Edvinsson, Kasper, Mazur and Soderblom on the Red Wings next year
It was a successful progression season.
The GM and HC post season presser was broadcasted by the official DRW channel in 360p quality. How is that possible?
We ball
I'm really praying for a healthy Elmer
Really appreciate that you guys go over 30 minutes (because my drive to work is slightly longer than that) but also that you don’t make your episodes way too long and lose my attention. Perfect amount of time is when you hit the 35 minute mark in my opinion 😂
Scotty, The Griffins Equipment manager is the Dogg. 😊🏆🏆
Wow boys my White Sox really suck, when does hockey start again😭😭😭😭
Yup always liked Brian Lashoff. Congratulations on Brian Lashoff Day very cool.
Gotta say after the additions the team got I am pretty unimpressed by Lalonde.
His comment at the start of the presser where he said he would be "spending his coach of the year bonus" if they kept in the playoff hunt is pretty stunning.
You may say oh he was just joking, but i doubt he woild have said it if he didnt believe that at some level. It is just odd that he is so willing to take all the credit when the team ays well, but blames injuries when it didnt go well.
By his own logic he probably should be fired comsidering how bad the team performed over certain streches.
How well was the team prepared for the two most important gamss of the season against Ottawa?
It seems like many people are unwilling to hold him accountable for any of the teams failings.
Our prospects got a lot of experience this year, we picked up some valuable draft picks and will win the draft lottery. So yes this year is a success compared to the last 4 years.
It was a progressive season. Success should always be winning. But we are a better team. Injuries are still a big issue but Soderblom Bergren Edvinson Seider and Raymond are nice pillars to build and I believe we will get some draft luck and maybe be in position to make a draft move for a top player
Not successful but not as bad as previous season's. They were too soft and it came to a head in the two game debacle against Ottawa.
Somehow Yzerman has to find that pillar to build around. They don' t have it. Just in their division
Buffalo has Thompson Dahlin Power and Couzens as part of their core
Ottawa has Tkachuk Stutzle Sanderson and Norris plus Batherson
Montreal if they are 50% more healthy next season have Caufield Guhle Xhekaj Dach and Suzuki and a possible 1or 2 lottery pick they will be improved.
Detroit's core isn't as strong
People that say that Lucas Raymond is a bust or needs to be traded need to check facts and grow up. If anybody is a bust it's zadina! Raymond is only 20 years old like you said and if I have to quote the past Zetterberg and Datsyuk didn't really break out till their fourth years in the league. Raymond is a gem and we're lucky to have him even if we got the first overall pick in that draft I would have still picked him over laffy Taffy as I call him lol. also great show is always guys stay frosty
Seider, Rassmusen, Larkin, Walman, Berggren, Maata, Husso and Perron all exceeded expectations this seasons. Not nearly enough from a 28 man roster. Progress was less than expected when looking at the roster at the beginning of the season. Couple that with GR having it's worst season ever and it's hard to get excited about next year.
I was listening to this episode on my drive home from work today when I looked over and saw Scotty. I was so hyped that I nearly rear ended the car in front of me. It was awesome.

Better receivers this year. They have to be on the same page. Look at the last 10.
