Massive yikes. I doubt it’s a slam dunk, legally, to add this as evidence in the lawsuit – because they can just claim they didn’t advise this woman to say these things and it’s on the prosecution to prove they did. Still, fits the bill and serves as a perfect example of TempeFirst flat-out lying to Tempe residents and hoping they buy it.
It doesn’t get more blatant than, “All our road and school funding for eight years goes straight to the owner of the Coyotes. He gets all our tax money.”
At least use feasible lies if you’re trying to sway people, don’t go straight for the absurd. I get that this is the political world we live in – “say crazy shit enough and people will believe it” – but, c’mon.
