It's going to be a tough series but I think the Hurricanes will have a slight edge even though they're missing some key players.
I’m a Rangers fan, had fun watching all three local teams. Isles got a great matchup and should win this series. Canes have limited offense. Exit the zone cleanly to reduce the Canes forecheck and that should keep the Canes scoring down. If Barzal is to return and healthy, what a boost that would be. Isles have a ton of guys that are money players, primed to take off taking 82 games to get in. X Factor: of course it’s Horvat. The team has been hot since he joined. Give him a minute to adjust to NY! With Barzal likely his line partner, he should be able to setup in front and score. Nelson will score. Bottom 6 guys will generate momentum. Sorokin will stand on his head. Avoid dumb penalties to give their scorers confidence against Sorokin. Necas is a problem though. Dude can absolutely fly! Isles in 6.

I played in the 60's,70's in USA and Canada, rightwing with great shot, my favorite was Mike Bossy, and I'm a Boston guy,lol, that team was good the year before they won their 1st cup, Butch Goring was traded to the Islanders and told the team, you guys are much better than you know, with a little confidence they went on to win multiple Stanley cups, even pro athletes need belief, belief in something bigger than talent, it's knowing you can do it, this team could become something bigger, good luck Islanders, but don't best the bruins if you make a run.
