Adam Fox a également récolté quatre passes décisives. Jersey Joe (@headsuphockeypodcast2707) a décidé de participer au récapitulatif d’après-match alors que nous discutions des changements potentiels que les Devils doivent apporter avant le match de jeudi. 1. Bro the rangers are not scared of Luke he is a 19 year old rookie it’s wild to throw him in to a playoff game against the rags

  2. This was a disaster akin to the Jets game, just a straight-up ass-whupping. I hope the boys can turn this around and do it quickly, it would be mortifying to get taken out in the first round by the Rags.

  3. Devils are gonna be good. Just not yet. The rangers are too deep and seasoned. Lets go rangers in 5

  4. Devils are faster, better scoring, and younger, but the Rangers are bigger, tougher, and more experienced.
The former matters more in the regular season, while the latter helps more in the playoffs.

Devils fan since 1984, but this Rangers team has me worried.

  5. I hit. Rangers win bet, kreider goal, Tarasenko goal, Hughes goal and chytil goal

The rangers are going to win this series in 5 games. 4 games if they can’t adjust in game 2. The devils are not beating this rangers team.

  6. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hurting much? You all thought it was gonna be easy eh? Sweep, sweep was the cry. The only crying I seen were you muppets crying in yer beer ❤🤍💙 LGR

  7. Question, is the definition of playing down to the competition going 0/4 on the power play with zero shots and getting bodied at the blue line forcing them to have to dump and chase?

  8. The devils don’t have any advantages matchup wise. If you throw Luke Hughes in there and burn a year of elc… that’d just be embarassing as they’re going to be swept if they can’t figure out how to win game 2.

  9. Ahhhh Devil fan tears, so nourishing. Naw just trollin, I think NJ actually didn't play that bad. They reminded me of the young Rangers team that got smashed in the bubble by Carolina a couple years back. I don't think they're quite ready for playoff hockey. Go Rangers! We want the cup!

  10. Devils just need to learn how to shoot the puck more than over passing it, that was the difference in game 1 outside of the penalty kill and power play. If you have a chance to put it on net,do it instead of wasting the opportunity with the one and done nonsense. They now need to have the backs against the wall mentality if their going to last in this series. Get the pucks through traffic in front of Igor and the rebounds will be there.

  11. I knew the Rangers were going to be dominant this playoffs when, down the stretch, Igor was getting into top form. His mediocrity for a lot of the season made his numbers lower than reflected by the end of the season, when he started playing like himself.
And when Rangers beat Pittsburgh(a decent team fighting for a playoff spot) by 6-0, and not long after beat the Preds (also fighting for a playoff spot) by 7-0, I knew this team was going to be a force in the postseason, and have a good shot at going all the way.

  12. Jack was literally the only positive last night. He was all over the ice, but he can’t do it alone. Team needs to wake up and step up.

  13. How are they supposed to stop Kreider from being in front of the net and tipping shots? He’s 6’3”, big strong guy, and if the Devils try to be more physical and force him out, they’ll be taking more penalties and giving the Rangers more powerplays, just leading to more goals. Devils are doomed if they can’t score on the powerplay themselves, and if they can’t stop the Ranger powerplay.

  14. U got ur asses handed to you. All that tick tack toe reg season stuff. Man playoffs a diff
Animal. We shuttttt yalll downnnn. I had to swing by after the last merge ep and you was talkin ur talk and boy yall
Couldnt be more wrong brake out the brooms

  15. And the Rangers Offense wasnt even clicking like it can boyyyy. But love the D by rangers in 3 rd period. Nah yall were banging out. Devils suprised me a little on the hitting aspect.. but yeah salute hopefully yall can make this interesting

  16. How about getting in front of the net , they need to score dirty goals not look to just score pretty goals…..Jersey Joe outta control with some of his comments….

  17. Trey, they didn't "burn" a year of Luke's ELC. It was either sign him to a 3 year deal this season or 2 year deal starting next season.

  18. Rangers fan here , just looking for insight on what devils fans thought of the game last night (not here to gloat or anything).

So.. if you're gonna put a man on Kreider and box him out , that means you're gonna give an open shot look to Zibanejad or Kane ? You're gonna let Panarin drop into the dot for an open look/seam pass for a one tee ? It's not good either way. Just stay out of the box as best you can.

The other issue in the game is finding a way to get heavier on the t6 forward group. Hischer and Hughes were getting knocked around by the much more physical rangers D. A second Hughes brother isn't an answer either. You're gonna ask him to play D against Zibanejad , Tarasenko , Kane , Kreider , Panarin , and Tro. He's gonna get burned hard in earlier games in the series , which devils can't afford to be losing.

IMO , Meier should be playing in the t6. Power forward who plays a heavier game will create more breathing room for Hughes and Hischer. When those two have any semblance of space , they'll have more of an impact in the game.

Also.. brawling the rangers isn't a good idea. Rangers are the tougher , more physical team. You're not gonna 'shake them up' by instigating fights. Goodrow , Trocheck , Lindgren , Trouba , and Mikkola are more than happy to answer the bell. It's not going to do anything , other than fire up the rangers and get them to play MORE physically. That's not the devil's game.

Side note. Rangers being "not as good as the bruins" is debatable at this point. From a consistency standpoint , sure. In terms of ceiling , Rangers are the much more dangerous team. There are more similarities between those two teams then there are differences. I wouldn't immediately say the bruins are head and shoulders above the rangers. Florida also outplayed the bruins in g1 of that series. Lyons just gave up 2 bad goals , if it's Bob in net.. those probably aren't goals and it was a 1-1 game in the 3rd. I still think the bruins win the series , but in 6-7 games. Not in 4.

best of luck going forward guys !

  19. Trey,NJ had a great season, very good team. I do believe they can do better. But they will have a very tough time ever outdoing New York in goaltending with Igor Shesterkin in my opinion.

  20. My thoughts: we need yegor on the penalty kill. They have to get back to carrying the puck over the blue line and not dumping, that isn't their style. Myles wood is retarded. Scream at palat to do something, cuz he sucks. I don't think luke hughes is the answer. Try to play your style next time and don't try to be something you're not.
