[Johnston] Matthew Knies porte un chandail régulier à l’entraînement #leafs – un assez bon signe qu’il attirera dans l’alignement du match 2 avec Michael Bunting susceptible d’être suspendu.

I hope he can handle the playoff physicality, it caught him by surprise a few times in those sleepy regular season games this year.

Nice. Not going to lie, I was worried Simmonds was going to draw in.

My day is immeasurable and my disappointment is ruined.

Nice to hear but we shouldn’t expect too much from it. At the end of the day, the rest of the team must perform. This goes for the stars, the defence and the goaltender. Matthews needs to step the fuck up.

Should have started in game 1. Everyone knew he’d draw into the series eventually, now he’s tasked with jumping into a series that’s already underway and has to right the ship for the Leafs. No pressure, kid. Meanwhile ZAR and Lafferty were awful and may as well not have bothered playing

Now please utilize him properly, second line ideally.

    Hell I’d love to see:

    Jarnkrok – Matthews – Marner
    Knies – ROR – Nylander
    Tavares – Kampf – Kerfoot
    Simmonds – Accari – Lafferty

Oh my god he is definitely going legend, I bet you he plays with Matthews and marner to start off

From what I’ve seen from Sheldon is if we have lead late he’ll put him on the 3rd and 4th line which is perfectly okay

    Here’s my armchair sheldon keefe

    Jarnkrok – Matthews – Marner

    Knies – Orielly – Nylander

    Kerfoot – Tavares – Lafferty

    ZAR – Kampf – Acciari

I like Bunting and I think it’s reactionary to say we are better off without him but when you *know* the refs have a clear bias against you you’d think it would be obvious that you should be on your best behavior. This means doing everything in your power to stay on your feet and not embellish. Not throwing explicitly dirty hits. Don’t give them a reason to punish you. This doesn’t even take into account the bias that the piece of shit Parros and the DOPS has against the Leafs. It was completely reckless and unnecessary and I really hope Knies gives us a fresh look.

This is this guy’s first practice as a leaf.. and they want him to play in a playoff game tomorrow?? I thought we had all this depth this year..

Should have been our lines for game 1. Our bottom 6 was weak af.

  12. mattfromjoisey

Bunting had better not be a Leaf anymore come next season. He doesn’t have the point production to make up for the PIM.

Gonna win the Conn Smythe I can feel it

Does anyone else feel 11-7 is the way to go, I think it wasn’t that bad in the regular season. Use Lily 5v5 and Schenn on the PK. Double shift Matthews and Marner with the 4th line since they (the 4th line) can’t seem to drive any offense by themselves. I think we overestimate our depth, we are not as deep as Tampa/Boston. We’re more similar to Edmonton, so might as well play the big guys as much as possible.

  15. Swa9Dra9on

Cool, you gonna put lily in, and put Calle with Auston or what?

  16. reluctantLeaf

Would love it if we could get through a series without having a player be suspended. It’s getting really fucking old.

  17. Suspension or no, the look on Sheldon’s face made me pretty sure it may have been Bunting’s last outing for the blue and white.

  18. stellarext

The team was destroyed at the trade deadline and we are still sending out mo44 as a no1 dman when he’s a barely serviceable 5/6 guy…..

  19. Sanchezzy123

I’m excited to see him in the game, but also fear that he doesn’t have enough game experience to play a playoff game, after such a devastating loss. Huge amount of pressure.
