May god help them if Bedsy starts using the word passengers
The execution of passes in our own zone was definitely one of the biggest issues. In the first goal, Toews just passes the puck straight to the Kraken player, for example.
Kraken came out strong, but the Avs also came in a little soft. Looking forward to seeing how they respond in game 2. GO ASS!
Turnovers around the net led directly to 2 goals. And bad luck with Georgie toe-picking on his slide led to the other.
They will be alright if they clean it up a bit. This year won’t be as « easy » as last. If we do happen to repeat I highly doubt it will be with 16-4 record. Gonna have to grind it out.
Could see this being a repeat of the Vegas series implosion where Bednar failed to adjust and kept running into a wall
That had to be one of the worst “first pass” games I have ever seen the Avs play. Team looked like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off.
Can’t blame the refs… can’t blame George… players played bad and got lucky that we lost only 3-1.
Seattle played a hard nosed clean forechecking game. That’s hard to stop wave after wave. Gotta step up for game 2.
The Kraken just came out with more energy, that was plain to see in the first 2 minutes of the game. The Avs never really matched their intensity.
