At least it ain’t Brian Burke.

I like it. Break up the culture. She’s a former agent. Can be a great help with contract negotiations.

  3. ClearSights

I ain’t against it. Give me some new blood around here

This is a bad move. She was at least a part of the current shit show in Vancouver. No thank you.

Let’s just get the obvious out of the way. She’s smokin hot.

So long as they don’t hire an ex-Flyer…

This is ridiculous. What makes her someone qualified to be our VP? The Canucks were a mess this year. This is the wrong direction. Briere is already inexperienced enough.

We need qualified hockey people who can judge talent. I don’t want to hear about the business operations side and Valerie anymore. There is no reason that side of the organization has to be so public facing. As a matter of fact it was when Valerie was hired the team gone in the tank. Stop with the corporate non sense.

I have no idea who this (excuse my ignorance) is this a good thing?

Got no problem if it if she’s the right person for the job. That said, we are the last team in a position to make a political/publicity move if that’s what this is

Meh. Zero faith in the front office. Show me RESULTS.

I’m glad they’re at least interviewing candidates who weren’t Flyers.

I mean sure. I’m not opposed to bringing her into the fold. Not really for president though. Yes president is more focused on the business side of hockey ops then roster management but ideally if you’re going with a young inexperienced Briere you want your president to be someone with a tenure of NHL GM experience to act almost as another advisor for him. Someone like Shero would be ideal or hell, even Burke would be a better pick. That being said I think she’d be a great pick if your keeping her in her current AGM level role. Absolutely not a bad idea to have a former player agent advising the GM on salary negotiations and contract management. I do put a negative mark on anyone coming out of the Canucks org though. I know it’s mostly Aqua boys fault they’re a shit show but still. Stealing talented ops people from contending orgs should be priority number uno rn.

    Serious cronyism with this broad.

Has she been involved in building a winning hockey team with a positive culture toward accountability?

    No?

Then WTF are we bothering with this for? Unless of course the Flyers are now such a well known shit show that truly talented hockey people want nothing to do with us.

  15. CarlSaigon

Hell yeah, let’s bring in someone being sued for workplace discrimination!

    😂

How about Carson Briere for Head of Community Outreach?
