Just going on record to say really missing the devils defense trap and cup runs when they would shut the rangers down in the playoffs. Tough two games to swallow

  2. Ruff benched Siegenthaler because he's clueless. Ruff must go, like yesterday.

  3. Ruff must go & we are done for, we lost this series already this series is over guys let’s face it this series is done I believe we will get swept. We had a good season something is bothering The Devils it’s not the same Devils from a few weeks ago, this is a whole different team out there and I can’t figure out why they aren’t showing up to play.

  4. Getting physical is what is getting us into trouble, we had the same amount of hits as them in this game and two less in the last game and thus we have given the Rangers 7 p+p in one game and 4 in the other, during the regular season the most we gave them was 3 and in most games it was 2, on average we were between 15 to 20 hits but always out hit, but now we are matching them with 30 plus hits, we need to tone down the physicality, that is what is aidding them, the Rangers want to stop us from skating up and down and to get themselves lots of power play opportunities and that is what getting physical gives them.

  5. I record the games only to see the faces of Devils fans in the crowd as the Rangers put these devilish heads in a table vice, and file down their horns into little nubs.

  6. I’m not even as mad as I was after Game 1. They’re not ready for the playoffs meat grinder yet. It’s beyond obvious. Take our lumps, learn the lessons, hope they somehow win a game or two to at least avoid a sweep and make tweaks to the roster where needed. We need someone who scores the goals Kreider does. Greasy wins in the playoffs. Please don’t bring Wood back either. The penalties he takes are just absurd. A slash right in front of the ref?! Unforgivable.

  7. I saw in a different video comment thread that the Devils have been playing at near 100% all season and they don't have an extra gear to go into for the playoffs. The Rangers, on the other hand have switched into playoff mode and the results speak for themselves. LGR!!!!

  8. Bench Wood and Smith, start Schmid, put Jonas Siegenthaler in every remaining game, Boqvist in Wood. Hopefully, that will limit the penalties. They need to stop it by trying to match NYR check for check and play their game.

  9. As a Rangers fan – whats up with Meier? He seems completely lost out there and nothing like advertised. Hughes at least makes your heart drop when he skates the puck into the zone but I'm just curious from Devil fans – whats your opinion on him? Do you want him to stick around long term for a big contract?

  10. Right now, honestly, 5 traffic cones in front of ANY goalie would be better for the Devils than the trash they've put out. It's embarrassing.

  11. I'm a Rangers fan. Hope nobody is coming at you, you're a good dude. The Rangers power play is really scary now. Kane, Zibanajad, Fox, Panarin, Kreider. That is too good.

  12. Embarrassing back to back BLOW OUT loses! 0 response in game 2 and now we’re going to the Garden. Tis over. An utter complete let down! Perfect time to slump.

  13. I'm a die hard rangers fan , I felt embarrassed for the devil's players how embarrassing halfway through the third in the playoffs it's all empty seats and rangers fans left , completely abandoned. I'm not counting this Devil's team out though they are a good team.

  14. A lot of teams had an inflated record this year thanks to the “Tank for Bedard” race. 6 – 9 teams were actively trying to lose. Can’t go by regular season records because they are all off. Basing expected playoff success by inflated records is asking for egg-in-your-face.

  15. Do you know that the Rangers are forcing your team to play a different game? We are using the old Devils' trap game in the middle of the ice.
That is why you guys are not generating speed through the neutral zone.
Your team is a speedy and counter-punching team forcing the opposition to make a mistake between the blue line built for a regular season. Dump and chase, and physicality are not your game.
But in the playoff, the neutral zone shrinks, and you guys have clueless about how to handle that because of the inexperience.

You are not playing against Columbus Blue Jackets.

  16. Gallant and Drury are executing a grand plan with team built for playoffs.
Part was learning from loss to Bolts in last year’s ECF after being up 2-0, acquiring seasoned cup-winning veterans
to complement Igor, and conserving energy once playoff spot was clinched.
Devils are simply a collection of youngsters simply trying to kill with speed like they’ve done all regular season,
with shaky defense and no plan B.
    LGR!!!

  17. The Devils are going to get embarrassed like the Lightning and come back bigger, better, and stronger next year and go on to repeat Cup championships. That's the plan, right? Right? :')

  18. The last two games have been tough to watch, I don't know if the Rangers are this good (I don't believe they are), I don't know if the Devils are this bad (I don't believe they are) but so far, this has been the only non-competitive series.

The Devils have gotten away from their speed and rush game, part of that has been due to the Rags' game plan but part of that could be due to Lindy and the coaching staff. If you try to play the game the Rags want you to play, you're gonna lose.

I want more skill and scoring, obviously, and less stupidity and buffoonery from the Devils. They're not going to make any comebacks with physicality, which isn't their game.

  19. We are terribly out coached. Schmid needs to start game 3 and Ruff needs to actually realize we are in the playoffs and make adjustments to the game plan. The rangers are exploiting our weaknesses and game planning against us. We are playing like it’s regular season.

  20. Expect Devs to simplify road game better for them right now. Devs growing up…Where is Dougie? He seems lost…I counted 9 icings in the first period and the Devs won every draw after that or it would have been over earlier… Rangers learned Presidents Trophy meaningless…Look at Bruins record setting year plays Bergeron in last game and he gets hurt. Now in a battle. Teams copying Tampa’s structure. Its so close with all playoff teams…I’ve never seen anything like it. Every series is up un the air except this one right now.

  21. It's one thing to play physical, but it's completely another thing, when your physicality leads to power plays for the opposing team. And the Devils are giving the Rangers way too many power play chances, when combined with all the skill players the Rangers have, is spelling doom for the Devils. The Devils are not built for this. They need to play with speed, and create chances off the rush. The Rangers are not allowing anything of the sort. Even when the Devils get a shot on Shesterkin, it's usually one and done, since the Rangers are not allowing 2nd chance opportunities. Good luck to the Devils at MSG, but in all likelihood, this series is pretty much over. Can't see how the Devils completely turn their game around, and stop this talented Rangers bunch, which have the experience, and are clicking on all cylinders. And which Devils goalie can honestly outplay Igor Shesterkin? LGR!!

  22. Timo Meier has been invisible also. Very disappointed in his play so far. Not sure if I'd make a big commitment to him in the offseason. At this point, let someone else overpay.

  23. With the Hughes / Kakko comparison, Hughes is obviously the better player, but he was also thrust into the top line role. He was expected to be the star of the team. Kakko joined an already deep, veteran team. He's been used as a role player. He's not going to have the same star responsibility and opportunities as a typical top-2 overall pick. Rangers got lucky with the high draft picks. It's the same with Lafreniere. It's frustrating to not get top production from them, but I also try and take it with a grain of salt.

  24. The Devils showed very little class late in the 3rd.. There is a difference between playing physical, sending a message, and being a sore loser. They crossed that line, not a good look.

  25. My Rangers still have work to do. We were down 2-0 last year to the Pens and came back and won it. So until we get 4th win .I'm not convinced. Having said that .Go Rangers

  26. As a Ranger fan the Devils scare the hell out of me for the next few years. They have some crazy good young talent. I think the biggest issue with the devils right now is lack of experience in the playoffs for these kids. I’m not saying the series is over but I think it might take a year of having a hard time the first time very n the playoffs in order to gain experience. Next year and the following years the Devils are going to be scary in the playoffs and as Ranger fan I don’t want to face them as they grow more experienced

  27. Ruff BLEW IT.
    Vitek is TOAST
    Jonas, Jesper, Luke, Schmid IN
    Smith, Yegor, Wood, Vitek OUT

  28. What is happening? Are we really that far from the top? It's really everything, defence, goalie, offence. Can't see how to fix this.

  29. Isn't Siegenthaler by far our best defensive defensman? Like how dumb can you be, Lindy? Dude really loses all the respect he earned this season with such dumbass decisions! If Schmid doesn't start the next game I'm done with this clown!
