  1. The leafs brought the intensity, that's what's needed to win, all the talent and skill in the world is useless if you don't dig down deep and outwork the other guy, winning the little 50/50 puck battles.

  2. He'll get better as they go I like the kid. That 3rd line might get the boys through to the 2nd round. TB couldn't keep up. Size boys the size on that 3rd line will wear TB down to a point where they just can't defend it.

  3. Maybe Sheldon isn’t the greatest coach ever 🤔🤔🤔
He literally just tried different combos. Anyone can do that.
Then he discovered some of his ideas were terrible. Some guys got suspended so that forced his hand. (Which he had played badly in the first place.)
But good news for us :))
If Leaf’s win, it’s not going to be thanks to the “genius” of their coach.

  4. Cernak likely has a concussion and will be done for the series but hedman will be back probably by Saturday but he won't be 100 % so the leafs need to make it there mission to hit him every chance they get to test that injury and continue to wear him down

  5. The kid played very well, that first penalty he took was week at best another bs call by refs.

  6. Rock solid after one game ? Um let's say it's better than expected .
Knies has shown in 3 games he can play

  7. I've been screaming about jarnkrok on the 1st line and ROR on the 3rd that's the depth we traded for.. Dunno how it takes a slap in the face to realize this. It's that ignorance on Keefer, is why Cooper out coaches him…
    Go Leafs!!

  8. I feel like Keefes poor coaching shining through here.

I know the stars didn't like playing for a hardass in Babcock, but man with this roster he'd have been a much better coach.

So would a lot of guys though, Cooper is so much better of a coach than Keefe.

  9. Dont know about all the rest of you but I am not getting excited until the deciding gams is over and the Leafs are on the winning side of the handshake line !!! We have been through this same scenario the last 7 years ,No reason to beleve that they wont crumble again lol

  10. Hedman or not, Toronto needs to beat their opponents with the opponents superstars in the lineup. F*** all that bull about missing some key players and stuff. Beat the best to be the best!

  11. Tavares played with O'Reilly down the stretch to build chemistry/familiarity
for the playoffs – when INEVITABLY they hit a cold spell and need to roll 2 killer lines
to GET A FRICKEN GOAL when needed.
Otherwise – you have the 3 line set up – with a nice 4th line as well.

Keefe took advantage of the extra time he had with O'Reilly to build
a strong back up plan – 3rd line was a GIMME and ALWAAYS gonna happen.

  12. I wouldn't blame the goalies for either game both teams only have 4 d men that should be in the NHL so you will see high scores with the talent on the ice for both teams. The difference is Toronto showed up especially Riley it's like hey maybe I should get in the bicycle and ride it and he did.Tavares is a silent leader and he responded .It would be nice if Mathews would be more vocal and engaging if he insists on not scoring goals and if a 60 goal scoring isn't scoring it's all in his head so step up and do other things not just wait for that perfect pass just creat more things .And once again Marner showed he is Toronto's most talented player .But don't blame either goalie the scores were high on both games because of the players in front of the goalies .Both games the score could have been much worse if the goalies didn't play well but sure they both didn't have their best game but what do you expect if some of your players don't show up.But my god Tampa their bottom D men they just can't move the puck out and Torontos bottom D men belong on a minor league team that can't make the okay offs .The goals will continue and the goalies won't be at fault..
