I haven't seen the full video yet, but I think it's lack of experience from new Jersey, but then again new York beat Crosby last year with no experience, but I still think the same
This year, Rangers beat the Devils 4-1 or 4-2.

Yes devils are built for the regular season but we had to start somewhere, gotta have a good regular season to even sniff playoffs. We need to now focus on playoff players going forward now that the core has shown they can make the playoffs.
as a Rangers fan, i was pretty stunned after game 1 and even more surprised after game 2. what was telling to me was after Kane scored the 4th goal after totally embarrassing Bratt they cut to the Devils bench and those guys looked totally broken

Your anti-Ranger bias betrayed you. The Rangers are the most stacked team in the NHL and were preserving themselves for this exact moment.

I was SO disappointed in your intial take on this series cuz im a biased fan but still, nobody can convince me we arent up there with Bos and Edm as far as contenders cuz we have:
1.) Insane Off depth, two top lines, 3rd lines the KID line and 4th line is all 2nd/3rd line talent (depth which helped outscore NJ 10-2 thru two games)
2.) Insane Goal Tending (Shesty with a .960 save % after two games)
3.) Elite top 4-Dmen and a decent 3rd pairing – only 2 goals conceded in 2 games AND Foxy alone has SIX assists in 2 games
All these things are coming to fruition and the league better be on notice! LGR!
The Rangers are deeper at every position, have more experience, have a better coach, have a better game plan, and are executing better. That pretty much sums it up.
too lazy to screenshot but my comment on that last prediction vid was 'you're really gonna regret taking NYR to lose in round one when they knock off BOS in the ecf And go on to win it all' – now admittedly, id still be jumping the gun BUT things couldnt be going much better 2 games in, we're firing on ALL cylinders, other teams are conceding goals left and right (7 a piece for TOR/TB) and Boston proving to be fallible losing game 2 at home…still early i know i know but cmon, its playoff SZN let a man dream!

NJD have 7 forwards listed below 180 lbs. The physicality and dirty play is out of question.
I think the Devils will bounce back game 3
The back check by bratt after the turnover should scratch him the rest of the playoffs
I think what this series is a perfect example of is something that we've all known for a long time. Playoff hockey is an entirely different beat. The Rangers have been there before, they know what it's like, they know you have to play different and the Devils don't. For a lot of the guys on that Devils team this is their first time here.
While I am a Rangers fan, I would say this to Devils fans, even if they get swept or just lose the series, they got experience in Playoff hockey, which will only make them better in the years to come. The Rangers are proof of that, after the rebuild, they had a good regular season, lost in the first round. Came back the next few years and were better each time with that added experience.
My only concern would be if they lose would be management making huge changes because of the end result, that I think would be a mistake, this Devils team proved in the Regular season they're a great team, with this years experience under their belt, give them another crack next year and see how much or little they've improved and then make a decision on if changes are needed.
That being said I'm not counting the Devils out yet, I think in the Rangers go 3-0 up in the first game at the Garden then it might be a different story entirely but we'll see.
Rangers are legit
Rangers win because they went for the playoff players. Kane will elevate to yet another level and vlad is already proving he is ready. Kreider is always a beast in the playoffs. Once the rest of the team gets going, they will be a juggernaut.
They just don’t have and they just didn’t trade for. Like as a rangers fan I will always look at lane and see these massive wholes in effort or on D, but far out, those clutch actions from him and vladdy are amazing.

If you thought the devils would win this series, it means you pretty much know zero hockey
Even Gallant stated the inexperience wouldn't be a factor (as it wasn't last season for the Rangers themselves). That said, it clearly is and has been. The Devils came in favored by many so even if they shouldn't have been feeling the pressure at this stage, they did. Meanwhile you don't underestimate the Rangers come playoff time. They are battle tested and preach a mental toughness that shows, even with their young players who have had to earn every minute of ice time they get. They are a cohesive bunch and know what needs to be done and when it needs to be done. The Devils will learn from this, they're being schooled in how to play come playoff time. We'll see when the lesson gets learned, either starting now (or this series is just done), or next year.
Devils are trying too hard to play "playoff hockey" instead of the play that got them to 52 wins this regular season. If they played like they have and lost I'd be fine with it, but playing how they've been and losing is disgusting. Regardless of what happens I hope this is the end of Ruff in NJ. Brunette (hopefully) moving up will do wonders for this team.
Is Kreider an architect or engineer? Because he's tipping in pucks and seeing the angles like one of those professionals.
Obviously disappointing as a Devils fan, but I’m not throwing in the towel unless we lose game 3. With that said I didn’t view us as q contender just yet. With how young and inexperienced a lot of our key players from this season are we have many years to figure this all out and bring the cup back to Jersey. Learn and grow from this win or lose and come back better next year
I cant believe anyone who runs a hockey channel actually picked the devils…. come on guys. just look at the rosters. NY looks like a hall of fame team and NJ is…. a bunch of as of rn nobodies.

Lets go Rangers
This is right on in so many sad ways I am going to really need my devils to step it up I have had season tickets for years and got to meet so many players and management from the team over the years I will always be a devils fan until the end and I have gone to every single game for years now and am going to msg this weekend I hope and pray that they step it up but from being a hockey athlete myself I know how hard it is and I am just so happy for all these young men and what they have accomplished this year and I know we will be in the playoffs for years to come it looks like it’s going to be time to dust off the driver and fishing rood soon and head down to the jersey shore
As a Rangers fan, I was in no way expecting this kind of start to the series, I was hoping at best it would be tied 1-1 going back to MSG.
Two things really jump out in this series after the first 2 games: 1) Igor has been rock solid in net while Vanecek has looked very shaky at times, and 2) the Devils' PP and PK have been atrocious, they have no cohesion on the PP and their defense on the PK has been non-existent. I'm in no way saying this series is gonna be a sweep, I still think it'll get extended to at least game 6, but man I haven't seen a Rangers team this dangerous since the '94 cup team.
On paper they are the best team in the league imo…I am well aware its hard to put all that skill together but its working! The scary thing is, is that they can still improve even more if the kid line explodes as well!!
A big part of this, is extremely poor coaching, and personnel decisions by Ruff & Co. This series, is far from over, and if NJ can win INE game in MSG, they can rally. This Rangers squad, is no different than the team that NJ handled with little problem during the regular season. Bottom line: it ain’t over, til it’s over. Ruff needs to retire, and Brunette isn’t the guy to take the reigns.

The series is not over. Only takes 1 game to change things. If the NYR keep playing defense & forechecking like they have in gams. 1 & 2, it will be very difficult for the Devils to win this series w/ o some luck.
