A historic night as we have Stanley Cup playoff hockey in Seattle for the first time since 1924.
Well the Stars were disappointing last night.
Seattle please don’t do what they did. My heart can’t handle it. Show up and destroy Colorado.
It’s finally time for some playoff hockey in our own barn, and this city is so ready to SEA it!! They don’t need to believe in us because WE believe in us.
I hope during the anthem tonight the whole crowd gets into the SEA and RED GLARE part
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous.
We had our chance to put it away on Thursday and flubbed the greatest chance of the game. That gave Avs a decent confidence boost and momentum continued on their side.
I don’t think the Avs have us “fully figured out” as most would want you to think in the 2nd and 3rd period. What they **did** figure out was that they needed to put more pucks on net and play more physically and it worked. While they didn’t put much more on net than last game they made them count as we had half the amount of blocked shots from game 1. They were also the more physical team in game 2 by almost double their physicality from game 1. In both instances the most physical team won.
Again I don’t think Avs have figured this Kraken team out, but I’ll be honest don’t like the “we don’t need to change” talk. The playoffs is all about micro adjustments and not changing isn’t going to help.
I am assuming and hoping the we don’t need to change was more of the we don’t need to change who we are, versus we don’t need to change our scheme. If Kraken come out guns blazing and physical while putting bodies in front of the puck I think we will have a legit chance to leave Seattle 2-2 or 3-1.
If nothing changes at all then 2-2 may be the lucky outcome.
#This team has what it takes, the Avs are a 100% beatable team. Let’s see then step it up and protect The Deep.
Today’s gonna be a good day
