The oilers got screwed with an offside goal last year against the avs.. now a high stick
Tough call… inconclusive replays so you gotta go with the call on the ice
La Kings players are amazing actors. 👏
McDavid going to an American team if the lose the first round. Edmonton spent alot of money on this team
If you look at the view from behind the net, while also understanding momentum, it leaves no doubt that the stick clearly made a considerable contact with the puck
They got the call wrong. At 2:15 in this video you can clearly see the puck is flying over towards the boards at a pretty fast pace and then when it taps the stick it suddenly loses the momentum and falls to the ice. It looks like it would've made it to the boards if it didn't hit the stick. Slow the video down and you can clearly see it. Physics says there was a high stick. Bad call. refs should've caught it during the play anyways because they were looking that way since the puck was there.
Sorry but the calls in this game are brutal. Yes Edmonton took some bad penalties, but soft calls are just embarrassing. Oilers now know that they have to change the script, because you can’t count on the refs calling a fair game. Game 4 is where it all changes!
Wonder what excuses Canadian team fans will have when all Canadian teams are eliminated in the first round, my bet…the refs instead of the team’s poor performance
LA🥰😄😊✌✊🤝🙏
MOORE✊🤝🙏
Hey sportsnet! I noticed a 6×6 path of white in the second period that you weren’t advertising in. Also please make more board advertising animated so I barely even notice a hockey game going on
It's only 2 -"1….Bad calls have gone against us…deservedly so or not!….We cant allow raffs to dictate or decide this series…We've out played Kings most of the series this far, Kings have only held the lead in this series 7+ minutes 🙄..That says alot.. ..Kane, Hyman, Nuge, Bouchard and Yamo need to show up! OILER NATION , Prepare for Battle!…🧙♂️
Now I’m not saying the Oilers are not responsible for their fate but the ongoing issue is the Reffing has been less than desirable. It’s a really big embarrassment to the paying fans to have to watch this crap. A high stick is a high stick. This is really becoming a soap opera. Days of our NHL. With all this great technology we can’t even get this remotely correct. Mcdavid is staring right at it.
The referee was right on top of the play and looking at it from a definitive angle. Weather the puck touched his stick is irrelevant, because the Oiler player was the first to touch it afterward. The call on the ice STANDS. No definitive evidence to overturn the call on the ice: THEY GOT IT RIGHT! Except it should have been, “the call on the ice is confirmed.”
Oilers are done
i feel like they would've called it back if the high stick changes the placement of the puck more it but since it would've fallen in that exact same spot why on earth would they call that back
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The L.A screw job
So LA starts on the power play next game?
god bless american nhl teams
nurse is so bad 😂
mcdavid should focus on backchecking there rather than throw his arm up
Clutch! Statue incoming!
Refs give them another… it was so obviously a high stick
But…but…but… the waitress at the hotel brought me white toast this morning instead of wheat. That's a penalty and the goal should be disallowed. Oilers are pathetic with their constant whining for penalties and reviews. Fing Toddlers
Defiantly high stick no matter what you can see puck. Touch and moved when hit stick
Cmom oilers fans. It's really hard to tell. The puck does not look like it changed the direction after impact. It was still fluttering.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has to be the most overrated No 1 draft choice ever, he is just average
while the puck defintely shifted from the stick, making it high sticking, on the way down it bounces off the edmonton defender. According to NHL rules, puck possession is deemed as the last player to have made contact with the puck, even off of equipment, therefore the play would continue. While its a heavily gray area, that is how it is written in the rules. Just like you could argue that the kings player didnt really "play" the puck, it just hit his stick but there wasnt any intent to swat it down. Either way, good goal, but interesting conversation topic on the definition of rules.
I can't say anything good about the play of Darnell Nurse 😢 such a frustrating player.
Woodcroft looked like he was going to burst into tears after the good goal call was made.
