As would be running it back again with Vitek after giving up 9 goals at home in 2 games. If Vitek plays NJ will lose, guaranteed. Play Luke Hughes as he can't be more of a defensive liability than Damon Severson & has the most offensive upside of any bench player. It simply can't be worse than 10-2 after 2 games so play Luke, Boquist, Jonas, and Schmid EDIT: And can NJ please get rid of Giggles Stein & hire a serious person to report on the team please.
When Severson said they are confident whatever goalie is on the lineup, that spills it for me. Vitek clearly should have saved shots that were thrown from distance, there are those u can't do anything about but he can't handle the pressure. I think it's time for shmid
Schmid or Blackwood will start, that's no secret. They'll need a lot more than a stellar performance in net though if they want this series to get back to NJ. Special teams have been atrocious, and they need to get their shots through. On the flipside that's bc NYR has been really good, so credit to them as well. Igor hasn't had to work hard for those Ws though, which is disappointing.
We KNOW we need to tie up Kreider's stick, what we need to know is WHOSE FAULT IS IT that nobody has been doing it? Cause it seems like coaching has been instructing our defenders to be passive in the slot all year long. Unless the coaching staff has been instructing them otherwise and we just weren't listening – or is this something where they got to the playoffs and only just realized, oh wait this passive baloney doesn't work??
Bratt is absolutely invisible and will have the nerve to demand $8m after the series sweep is completed and his agent sets up a campsite in front of Fitzgerald’s office
