Looks clean to me. How many times do you see a defense man play the puck up the wall or to wing and then 2-3 seconds later take a hit from the forechecker no different if you ask me.
I honestly didn't see much wrong with that hit. In slow motion you can kind of say there was a bit of upward movement and the puck was gone for a half second, but I'm not seeing the egregious hit that has Dallas fans acting like this was Bertuzzi or McSorley-esque.
In football terms it's a late hit or unnecessary roughness
Dirty hit, not a Dallas Stars fan but in fairness I do hate the Wild.
It looked to me as if the hit was a clean one, and his injury was mainly the way he fell and hit his head on the ice , which could happen with any check.
It's wasn't a dirty hit necessarily, but Dumba blindsided him by popping out from behind his own team mate, Dumba was not a part of the play he waited for the right moment to spring on somebody because he's a chicken shit player.
ditto ajthomas….scott stevens did these late head shots for years….all the way to hockey hall of fame
My thing is, is that Dumba telegraphed the check for a few seconds with backwards skating. He kept his head down, which is the number one No-No for playoff hockey. Joe 100% left the check open for Dumba to cash in on.
Dumba also flew about 6 feet into and bounced off the boards from the hit. He just didn't hit his head on the ice.

Look unless you actually play the game .. it was a clean hit.. when a player has a glass skull any hit can cause a concussion

Clean, but unnecessary. Concussed a guy. Might have gotten shoulder first (which is why it's clean) but definitely impacted head, too. With what we're learning about concussions, I wish there were a way to rid this kind of injury from the game. Might have been a "hockey play" but it was unnecessary, brutal, and caused injury. If you have to win by head hunting….you're dirty and irrelevant.

Clean hit it wasn't even 2 seconds after the puck left the stick. it was shoulder to shoulder and he never left both his feet. If you think otherwise, then idonno what to tell you because the facts here are the truth. Never should have been a penalty.

They got fook-somped last night. Whey they went wit Fleury after having basically a shutdown game considering Dallas' powerplay and offence in general. THE series I am watching so far. I want to see what Tampa and Torornto is going to be like. I think Brayden Point will have Toronto's number this series. TAMPA in 6. Bye-bye Keefe, and possibly Dubas too….
The guy making the hit didn't raise an elbow or anything nasty and just got a clean shot, w/ Pavelski caught off guard.

7 to 4 beat down. Wild are doing their best to be less mediocre, but Dallas is not the push over team this year.
These guys are better skaters than that, he was late, but and could have changed direction. That is too much focus on going after a man and not the puck.
The Wild = most underrated and most underestimated playoff team this year. This year, I feel like they could easily make a run to the final with how they played today.
ALSO, the Xcel is the best arena in the entire NHL with the loudest and best fans. No one beats them. DON’T SAY ANYTHING about how that stupid WINNIPEG whiteout is going to be awesome. It won’t.

I have watched a lot of highlights from the 2023 playoffs. Old time hockey!! Sort of……lots of big hits, some fights and a lot of chirping.
Nhl might as well take hitting out of the game. Used to be a cool tough guy sport. Gary Bettman should retire and let someone else run the league. He should be playing golf not running a multi billion dollar league.
