Being a leaf fan my whole life i don’t think i went through this many emotions watching one of their games ever! I was pissed off, happy as a pig in shit and even empathetic for Matthews, Reilly and some of the others, and now especially after watching Keefe’s interview so proud of the team and the organization! How Sheldon put it made a whole lot of sense because i felt that they needed to bring more (not used to seeing the Leafs on their heels so much) game which is where Sheldon nailed it. Tampa played like champs and ultimately the leafs persevered! I can’t help but think of how back in the 80’s when the Islanders beat the powerhouse Oilers until they matured enough to begin their legacy! Sure the outcome is huge but it’s also the nature of competition to teach us so much about ourselves and what we can accomplish with love and determination. Probably thinking how the hell does love fit in to the equation and thats because we were not really taught that love is the ultimate power of everything but there is a fine line in how we come at anything and the last person you want hanging around is the conscious sucking ego. Another reason i love the Leafs org more than any other time in history. It’s a culture that has now CHOSEN to play the greatest game on earth the right way! And if you lose sight of the fact that love is the ultimate force as to why we compete for each other while having a non egotistical and healthy respect for the others competing against you, than you have gained nothing even if you win. (Which by the invisible laws that govern this existence) good luck being a winner by holding ill will over anyone you think you’re better than! GO LEAFS GO! ❤
