The headline says it all. Not much info out there as usual when it comes to this kind of stuff.
I hope everything’s alright with him and his family.
Hope everything is alright with big Val and his family. Dude means a lot to this team, and not just because of how well he plays on the ice.
From a purely team-based standpoint, I think we’ll be okay without him for this series. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good our forecheck and puck retrieval was last night without him. We’ll be okay against Seattle, I think.
But if we want to make another deep run, I’m not sure I see that happening without Val back. We just don’t have the offensive depth we had last year without Landeskog, Burakovsky, Kadri, and now Val.
Hope he’s ok.and everything settles out well.

Per Darren McKee earlier this morning: Trying to confirm details but something happened Saturday afternoon at the team hotel. Whatever it was it was significant enough for Val to be taken by security to the airport. He whereabouts at this moment are unknown.
