Refs absolutely decided that game. The strength of Dallas is the powerplay and they were gifted golden shits of opportunity that weren’t deserved. Not that they didn’t give the Wild opportunity on the powerplay, but that’s not their strength.

  2. altox069

Previous years refs: anything goes, get tougher it’s the playoffs.

    Wild get tougher.

This years refs: oh sorry you get a misconduct for looking at me funny. Softer than a baby’s ass

  3. fishwithafez

I understand that the Wild got too cute on a lot of their chances and just couldn’t convert things they need to be but **FUCK THE REFS FUCK RYAN SUTER FUCK NORM GREEN LET’S WIN THE NEXT 2 AND ADVANCE ON HOME ICE**

  4. DaRealHankHill

Kaprizov, Boldy, and Foligno each blew multiple blown golden opportunities. That’s the real difference.

  5. MNHypnotoad

I don’t care what Dan Barreiro says tomorrow, the refs fucked us.

  6. extensionofme

I really wanted them to win this one… more than most games.

  7. wildnorthmn

NHL gets their way, headed back to Dallas even!

  8. MinnesotaMilkman

Nawh. Investigate that officiating crew. Sus. Fuck that. I was gonna try to be cordial and break out my “youth coach voice” fuck that.

  9. EazyParise

I remember being marginally fine with Stars fans at the start of this series. They can fuck themselves. The refs too. What a crock of shit

  10. Thestateofhockey

Dallas got saved by the tendie. Dude is playing like he’s the best in nhl

  11. Woah-Big-Gulps-Huh

Penalties and our poor Penalty Kill were the stories of the game again

  12. JiveWookiee5

Have to say I’m impressed the officiating crew can skate so well for people that can’t fucking see

  13. Interstellis

99 times out of 100 times the Wild win that game. They played better than the Stars and deserved the win. Absolutely brutal calls, and it’s hard to overcome two absolutely gifted goals. If we had even 1% more puck luck the Wild are laughing their way to Dallas up 3-1.

I guess the silver lining here is that we’ve been winning the periods as of late. Feeling absolutely disgusted right now. Please have a god tier game in Dallas Fleury.

Edit: Guys, I’m not saying I want Fleury to start in Dallas. It just seems like what Evason wants considering his statements up to this point.

  14. -InconspicuousMoose-

They scored two goals off of bullshit penalties and won by one. Seems legit

  15. MoonUnit98

What an annoying game. I wish I could say it was hard fought, but that performance was just bleh. Unlucky at times, but not why we lost. Great game by Oettinger.

  16. letoiledunordstars

they really battled to get back in it but man those missed breakaways hurt

  17. JB_Smoove25

The refs were bad but our special teams play the last two years in the playoffs have been unacceptable. The PK was around 60% going into the game and was 1/3 tonight.

    Terrible.

  18. Alacritas2410

There were so many missed chances on goal! Need to bring it for game 5 now!

  19. Durge88

NHL reffing is a joke. Weak calls for us and them. Missed breakaways really were the difference though. Just needed any of those to get past Otter and they would have won. Fuck the Stars, let’s steal the lead in Dallas.

  20. GhostInTheShadow

“A must win face off for Minnesota, and Benn wins it”

Because of course. God forbid we go up 3-1 in a series.

  21. TinaBelchersBF

Oettinger played great, tip of the cap. Let’s go get Game 5 so we can potentially close it out at home

  22. linkfan348

Let’s win game 5 baby and finish the series at home 💪

  23. wildnorthmn

You can’t be more obviously rigged in one teams favor

  24. magniturd

Wild had their chances and missed them tonight. Shit. Back to the grind.

  25. McSaxual34

I’m just so over this whole experience. Dallas scores *once* if there wasn’t a Moose-sized bias in the officiating. Every single year, we get the shitty time slots, we have biased commentators, and we have uneven officiating. It’s just so fucking hard to care when the NHL is actively sabotaging their own product in smaller markets.

  26. BoricuaBeef

As a referee fan, I was really nervous we weren’t going to make the pivotal calls we needed to make it all about us. Happy to see us pull it through in the end though and keep our run going.

  27. tronfunkinblows_10

Imagine if we showed up and played like that for a full 60 mins.

Again, we are incapable of stringing two consistent performances together in the post season. We seem to come out flat after W’s.

  28. dakotahjohnson

Anyone else see Oettinger after that last save? He definitely grimaced on that close up. I wonder if he may have tweaked something on that mojo save?

  29. kaydubbleyoo

We missed some great opportunities early on but there’s no arguing the Lakeville kid is a monster in net. Hats off to Oettinger for winning game 4. Let’s stick it to them down south and take back the lead.

  30. FlyManDan

Shameful that such a great game by both teams was decided by officiating. Fuck Dallas and fuck warm weather hockey.

  31. Cobalt316

Goalie, Snakebit, and fucked by the refs and Dallas still BARELY won. Play that game 100 time and we win 95 of em. Keep going MN.

  32. ScHoolboy_QQ

Kap looks off his game, not sure if it’s that he’s not fully healthy, or maybe just playing a little tense. Top line has been pretty useless & risky this series for the most part.

  33. xEphr0m

I really think those calls went against Foligno solely because of his mock dive last game. What an offensive showing by officials. Put your egos aside and call a decent fucking game.

  34. paultheschmoop

Absolutely backbreaking loss that anyone who has watched this team could see coming from a mile away

Dominated the first 2 periods with fuck all to show for it because we wasted golden opportunity after golden opportunity

Doesn’t matter if the refs blew 2 calls, even if they hadn’t, we would’ve lost because we couldn’t score for shit.

  35. MusicInWaves

What a frustrating way to spend 2.5 hours. Every year feels the same, we clearly look like the better team but can’t fucking capitalize.

  36. PoppySeeded17

You can blame the refs but we were given a goal off a non-existent tripping call and failed to capitalize on multiple chances. Penalty kill and power play need to be better. With a properly refereed game the outcome would still likely just be overtime.

  37. Fuck man that’s a bummer. Not converting those early breaks really bit us hard. Could’ve put the game out of reach early if we could’ve finished.

Otter stood on his fucking head and stole the game but let’s face it, boys had MANY golden opportunities to score and couldn’t convert. Refs fucked a couple calls but can’t use that as the sole excuse we lost.

Dangerous going back to Dallas 2-2 but the boys got one on the road in the 1st, going to have to do it again to bring the clinching game back to Minnesota!!

  38. Twistedshakratree

First time ever seeing a wild player get checked in the face with a stick, bleed, then get the pentalty called on himself

  39. HerbalAndy

Nothing makes sense about reffing.. like it’s so volatile you have no fucking idea what the call is even when it’s blatant…

Moose gets crossed checked to his face and is BLEEDING FROM HIS FUCKING NOSE and we get called for tripping.. holy fuck.

It makes no fucking sense… I can’t wait to see that clip and how other teams react to that.. one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen.. ever.

  40. extensionofme

I still hope Gus starts on Tuesday

  41. ScubbaSteveOO

I still like our odds but my God. Can a Minnesota team step on an opponent’s neck when they have a chance? The refs really did fuck Foligno though.

  42. HelicopterCrashScene

The ratings for this series must be really good. NHL prob told the refs to nudge the odds towards more games. What a difficult game to watch

  43. BuckyCop

Where do our elite players go come playoff time? Boldy looking like he did mid season, just a ghost with shots going high and wide. Kaprizov getting chances but cannot finish to save his life. Sure they get double teamed, but that doesn’t seem to stop other elite players in the league. So frustrating, Oettinger played a great game, but man our special teams are hot garbage.

  44. MatMart87

God shut up about the refs please. It’s pathetic when we do it, it’s pathetic when Stars fans do it. Not a good look for anyone.

  45. electricstonedmamoth

Complaining about the refs is inarguably lame but wow, two absolutely crap calls resulting in goals. Coincidentally on the same player. Bullshit loss.

  46. odin_the_wiggler

    * Foligno’s first penalty was an absolutely awful call.

    * Foligno’s _last_ penalty was even worse.

  47. Abject_Equivalent_85

This team is literally Dallas nearly at their peak, the wild are the worst they will be in the next 10 years most likely… and we’re fucking RIGHT HERE in the series. Stay heads up folks, it ain’t over and Dallas can suck my balls
