Lou shouldn’t be GM by the draft
Among non RFAs there might be literally 1 name that won’t be an overpay. This is 2016 all over again

Horvat was our FA signing. We don’t even have cap space to keep Mayfield. And maybe not even both Engvall and Fasching.
Lou will inexplicably still be running this team through FA, sign absolutely no one and then trade a first for a mediocre 3rd liner who doesn’t score
He’ll just re-sign Mayfield for 5 x $4mil and say he believes in this team.
This is an awful list outside of Bratt, Meier, and DeBrincat

Where exactly do they get the cap space to sign any of these players after resigning Wahlstrom, Fasching and add a RHD and backup goalie? If they can’t unload Bailey’s 5 million and get out of possibly Martin and or Clutterbuck you maybe left with 5-6 million

Free agent class would be loaded if this were 2017. At this point I’d only really shell out for Meier maybe Tarasenko. The rest make us older or will cost us draft picks as rfas. We need more star power, but this class ain’t it.

Most of those guys aren’t going anywhere. Rangers will find a way to keep Tarasenko, he’s been too good. Debrincat would be my top choice. PLD is good but the last thing we need is another streaky player. Meier and Bratt are certainly staying with the Devils.
