As a Leafs fan all I can think is « Tampa has them right where they want them »
I remember when all the Habs fans were saying the series was over when the leafs were up 3-1 and Toronto had made the Habs look like a beer league team for their three wins.
Tampa is in the same position but has been the better team by a land slide over 75% of this series. All but period three/OT tonight and the second game has been all Tampa.
I’ll celebrate when they win 4. Not falling for this shit again. No hope deserved until it’s 4.

Not saying Dubas deserves to not get a new contract offer from them since he’s done a pretty good job but man, at some point the dam is going to break. Also, as a Pens fan, I hope that it does lol.
Regardless, as a Canadian, I am cheering for all of the Canadian teams to advance no matter how annoying some of the fanbases can be.

But I will say, the Leafs won’t make it farther. The might beat a team with a weak blue line and a literal extra season worth of games played.
But I don’t see them beating Boston.

I know Leafs fans have every right to be hesitant given…everything. But this time feels a bit different. Matthew’s really stepped up tonight which is something that I probably wouldn’t have expected in previous years, and the team as a whole really rallied. I might be naive, but I think this year they do it.
