I am proud of the effort they showed tonight (most of them at least), but with Ehlers, Scheifele, Perfetti, and Morrissey out, Connor and Dubois not generating anything, there’s just not enough to win.

  2. CP-Drone

The Jets seem to do the reverse of cap-fuckery. All I’ve wanted to see is an effort from the Jets and I am whelmed. Anyways, I’m not too upset at losing if the reward is getting your ass-kicked by the Oilers or Kings.

  3. PuckTheFreds

Might have been Scheifele’s last game in a Jets uniform. Would be a tough way to end his run in this town given his history of unfortunate early playoff exits.

  4. ZeFunnyMonkey

That second goal was such a gift I just wish the jets could’ve clawed that equalizer back 🙁

FUCK THE KNIGHTS FUCK SPORTNET FUCK THE CBC FUCK GALLEY FUCK THE LEAFS

  6. UpVotes4Worst

    Fuck Vegas. Cap cheating cunts

Too bad we didn’t have an extra $9M in cap space to spend on some players to fill out our roster!

  7. Taintedtamt

The game got so rough to watch due tot players playing higher then they should up the line up and the fatigue still there from the last game.

Gonna take everyone who can to come back to have a chance now

Also I really fucking hate Vegas

  8. no_ur_cool

Standing fucking ovation for that effort in the third from a completely decimated roster 👏👏👏

  9. tropicana4200

Time to go on one hell of a win streak I guess

  10. Mamrocha

If I had a dollar for every time Schmidt missed the net, I’d probably be able to buy out his contract.

  11. GrayBread

Might have been Wheelers best game of the year. Good to see him step up in a game like this.

  12. No-Growth-6066

Let’s go Reverse Sweep (Trying to be positive)!

  13. RandGenUsrNm

Really sucks we lost and I’m feeling incredibly bummed, but I thought that was a crazy exciting game. We did well, just couldn’t pull it together.

  14. Paper_Rain

Disappointing outcome for the team but this series is not over yet. I know it looks very bleak with I think they can go into Sin City and win Game 5 to take it back to Winnipeg.

  15. ItsFlippinFrench

I want to preface any negativity by saying I’m proud of the boys for giving it their all while we’re so short handed. That said, Dubois has taken two extremely costly penalties in back to back games that were completely avoidable. Why does he insist on leading into contact with his leg?

  16. Hero_of_Brandon

Fuck the Vegas Golden Knights with a radio tower.

  17. buttermyanus

Man…I’ve loved the effort by some of our guys, it’s so good to watch.

Then it pains you to « see » some of the others on the ice.

Add the injuries to the list and it stinks.. man

  18. _THIS_IS_THE_WAY_

Last Jets whiteout win was game 1 vs VGK in 2018

  19. MetalAsFork

When your 1C gets a breakaway and doesn’t score and does a header into the wall, it is not a harbinger of good things to come.

  20. Disastrous_Lunch_893

I HAVE FAITH IN A 3-1 COMEBACK! IMPROBABLE YES BUT POSSIBLE!!!!

  21. Kilcona

Helle is gonna have a ’96 Khabibulin esq Game 5 and we’ll bring it back for another whiteout

  22. TemporaryOk300

How things have played out is a bummer, but I’m actually decently impressed with how the Jets have performed in this series. If a couple more bounces had gone their way, they could be up 3-1. Pretty good considering they are the eighth seed and the injuries they’re dealing with. If they can win game 5 and maybe get Ehlers back, you never know what could happen.

It breaks my heart watching this core go out like this.

  24. wpgelectricboy

    Dubois is a penalty machine!

  25. imaJetsfan

Well you can’t say they didn’t try. We can be proud of this effort and core. No matter what happens between May and October, I still think we can make the post season again.

  26. looolol-ff

that’s a rough L. helly doesn’t deserve this. good effort from the guys except from maybe one or two but man this roster just does not stack up without our core guys.
jets down our 3 most important players while vegas manipulates the cap to get 10 mill over.

still holding out hope scheif and ehlers come back, boys play clenched and helly stays dialed

  27. Schmidt is getting paid 6 million dollars just to be one of the most non impactful players ever. Every time he touches the puck at the point it looks something is going to happen but every single time he shoots it wide or high. He can’t hit the net at all. And when he doesn’t he just whiffs on the pucks. Why we hate and refuse to play heinola is just beyond me

  28. Dandufferin98

Myth: Playoff Dubois. His opportunity to be the man and take control, instead we Mr. Invisible. I’m so torn what to think of him.

  29. fdisfragameosoldiers

Stick taps for Wheeler. I know most of us are mad at him most of the time but he really turned back the clock tonight.

Brossoit has outplayed Helle since game 1 and now that the Jets are missing 3 of their top 6 and Morrissey, sadly it’s probably over. I’m impressed with their effort though. I just wish they could keep that fire for a full 60 minutes.

  30. erin_of_aimsir

They played their fricken hearts out with a shredded roster. 💔

I hope we really take it to VGK next game – no matter the outcome.

  31. Roguste

The reward for battling through adversity, further set backs lol. Can’t imagine how drained the players are after only 4 games. Been a hard fought stretch for _most_ of the squad

  32. Herp_Derpsen

Sportsnet mentioned our abysmal home playoff record. Something like 5-15 or something terrible. Feel sorry for all the street party fans who haven’t seen a great home win since probably the Minnesota series in 2018

  33. brazeau

What’s our cap hit right now with no Scheif, Ehlers, Perfetti (likely moot), Rittich, and Morrissey?

Edit: It’s basically about $63M, Vegas is $96.5M.

  34. Taddy_Mason_22

I’ve never seen a team be so unlucky.

  35. Bagelchu

I mean wtf are we supposed to do? Perfetti, Ehlers, and Morrissey out. Then Scheif goes down too. Connor is shooting below 10% again and only had 3 shots. Dubois only had 3 shots. We can’t even score on fucking Brossoit??? Pionk had 2 points and was still -3.

  36. ottereckhart

Someone tell Schmidt he doesn’t play for the knights anymore. JFC the amount of times the guy has passed the puck directly to them in this series is ludicrous. He has zero composure and is just out there frantic and out of his depth it seems. He makes Samberg look like the veteran.

  37. ponikweGCC

KFC has to figure his game out.

And I would like to see Capo slot in over Stanley next game. Stanley wasn’t bad, but he generated nothing. Literally nothing.

  38. Ryn0m1t3

I think the injuries are more difficult to take knowing that the window is essentially now closed with this roster.

    Just….deflating.

  39. madzerglin

Vegas fucking barely beating us when we’re down four of our best is so frustrating. I’m so pissed.

  40. Xenocles

The positive thing is that with all of our injuries if Ehlers makes it to game 5, Bones will be forced to give him minutes.

  41. ChungusSpliffs

Too many injuries now.. this happens every time we make the playoffs. Laine against Calgary. Sheif suspension again MTL. This year has been just fucked with injuries. Can’t catch a break.

  42. ProducePerry

It’s hard seeing this team come so close with such a banged up roster but that’s the way she goes sometimes.

Even if they do manage to win a few games or even somehow win the series I can’t imagine this team going much further. No 44 and 55 is so hard to come back from. Can this team get past LA or Edmonton? Colorado? I doubt it.

Even if the Jets pull off a miracle and win the cup this year we are all still looking at a rebuild. This was a last hurrah with this core and it’s going to be sad to see them all go. But that is the nature of the business. I wish them all nothing but the best and I am excited to see what this team develops into. It’s going to be a long process since we can’t buy our way to the playoffs like other markets 👀. But seeing a team grow and eventually thrive and compete is so satisfying.

Time to draft deep and start developing our young talent. Whatever lies ahead I will be a diehard fan for the rest of my life.

    God bless
