I think that right call here. Could have seen it be a few more but is what it is.
McCann will miss the rest of this series I’m sure of it. Makar knows what he did was bad hoes without saying. It was ugly, Makar knows it’s ugly so he gets a timeout.
Now suspend those stupid officials!
If Bunting got 3 games, this should have been at least 3 games.

Not saying it’s going to be easy, but the gameplan even more so now needs to be just shut down Mackinnon and Rantanen. If we can limit those two without Makar in game 5 I like our chances a lot, and then it comes down to just winning that home game on Friday.
Big opportunity for the Kraken in game 5 without Makar, it’s night and day for Avs offensive pushes when he’s on and off the ice

That’s pretty much what I thought would happen. If Makar had gotten 5 and a game this would have been a fine. If there was head contact this would have been longer like the Bunting suspension. Fucking sucks to have McCann go down like that and I hope the Kraken capitalize and win the next one setting up an elimination game at the green house.
I cannot believe he only got one game. But fuck it, let’s win the next two for Canner.

Turns out you don’t need more than two years of watching hockey to identify dirty plays.
I’d like to see a 1:1 ratio for something like this … especially in the playoffs. You are ruled to have committed an intentional act that knocked another player out, you sit out the rest of the series, or until the player you injured is allowed to return. Would make guys think twice before doing dangerous shit like this.
How could McCann do this to the goodest boy? Fuck Makar and fuck anyone that defends this hit as a good hockey play.
Makar gets one game. Our best goal scorer gets his brain scrambled and sits out for the rest of the series.

Notice in the video clip picture that not a single fan is looking at Makar / McCann. They all knew where the puck was. Everyone except Cale and the officials apparently.

Not particularly thrilled. Shuld have been at least 2 games and a major instead of a minor like he got.
But anything is better than nothing, I guess.

1 game is fair IMHO… I honestly don’t believe Makar was intentionally trying to injure McCann. It was made much worse by the fact that Canner had completely relaxed. That said, his excuse that he thought the puck was still in play doesn’t really cut it—being confused doesn’t give you license to haul off and destroy someone.
As a fan of both the Wings and the Kraken, why is it always Colorado?!?

It sucks because the Nordiques/Avs have been my team forever, until Seattle finally got a hockey team. Cale isn’t a dirty player but he fucked up with that stupid hit. Should have been a two game suspension, but superstars get different treatment as we all know.
Should have been more, but this is better than just a fine. Also better than getting 5 and game on the ice – because we won that game already! Now there is a one extra game without Makar and one extra game of rattling him with booing in Seattle.

Not gonna happen until this kid of act gets more than a 1 game suspension. And we all know that there will be a bunch of cheap shots like this in the first and second rounds of the playoffs every single year. Until the goons get a real penalty for this it will continue. And certain people will not be watching on TV or going to games.
