I wish Weegar was at the announcement. He’s been the biggest voice on the team for wanting a new arena and it makes sense since this will be his home for the next 8 years. I can’t wait for his next interview and hopefully they ask about this
Still have probably 3 if not 4 seasons left in the dome. Depends on what happens with the election. They probably won’t break ground till they have an agreement with the NDP that they won’t kill the deal if they win
I don’t care about the money, where it comes from, or who owns the damn thing …but they are committing architectural crimes by tearing down the saddledome.
I will die on that hill.
So Tre was the one holding it up. Who knew.
My solution is to just take the saddle off and incorporate it into the new arenas architecture. Strictly cosmetic for the skyline
I’m getting my kitchen redone and not blowing out any walls. I don’t know why they couldn’t couldn’t update the highschool gym locker room they call a dressing room in the interim.

I feel weird about The fact they are planning to demolish the saddledome… our skyline is gonna be different… so much has happened there
We need to start referring to the new building as the Weegardome. If we start now then maybe it will stick when the thing is built
