3 détails qui font Dooming the Wild contre Dallas

1. Awesome. Imo, you are the best Iocked on host. You perform. You finish sentences on beat no matter how improvised your thoughts. I’ve enjoyed your cast all season. I’m an every dayer

  2. You’re forgetting that we have a cap hit of 20 million with Suter and Parise that’s basically a quarter of our salary to be where they’re at isn’t bad especially in our very tough conference. We can’t afford a number one center for Karil that’s a huge whole. Rossi didn’t pan out unfortunately but the potential is definitely there we just have to weather the storm till this cap disaster is over.

  3. Guerin needs to address coaching this offseason or he's lost all credibility with me. This isn't rocket science. DeBoer even gave the Wild a hint in his game 2 post game presser: "When you pre-scout the Wild – they take penalties. They're the 6th most penalized team in the league." Yet the Wild continue to play recklessly (Foligno), complain, throw the refs under the bus, and do everything but address the special teams issues.

  4. You can’t say it better Seth., we HAVE YET to try and actually change up our lines even a little bit.. we have to do something to shake it up in the post season and we NEVER DO with dean.. dean needs to “shit or get off the pot” so to speak and either make something happen, RIGHT NOW, or go back to the AHL.. end of the day, cap hit aside, we have the depth and talent to win THIS series, as well as last years series, and yet we send out the same exact lines for 6 games, back to back series, and get out coached, more than put played.. the coaches enabled the poor hitting choices resulting in penalties, the coaches haven’t pulled anyone aside and had “that talk” with them, and here we are.. like you said, 7 years, it’s time for a serious change

  5. You know it’s bad when I’m driving around town listening to my radio (NHL channel) and they say they need to lead with a condolence. I was wondering who died, then they start on the Minnesota sports fan. They bring up the double whammy of the Wild and Timberwolves last night. Then he goes to the Twins 0-18 and the last time they won a series, – money-ball. Vikings, tease but never win, Wolves, Garnett last time they won a series. Wild 10/11 post season, not even a sniff, can’t win even 1 series, no wonder we’re Frikin nuts up here.
While losing Shaw and EK is hurting on the PK, it’s really the confidence (Dallas) and lack of confidence,(MN) demonstrated nightly by the Wild. I actually would try to spring someone and go for a shorty. That would be a dagger and maybe turn the mojo-
turn the tables and score a few on your PP. As I watch this, colorado loses 3-2 to Seattle after watching Boston lose. Not one team out of the 16 has been punched out – crazy…

  6. I’m not one for boycotting, I think more times than not it doesn’t work. But if season ticket holders cancelled their tickets, if we stopped attending games, stopped buying merchandise…I think it would send a pretty good message to Guerin that MN fans are fed up with mediocrity and excuses

  7. I have to admit that, as a Minnesotan, I'm in doomer mode. But this current team is punching above its weight right now, and it's probably our mistake if we forget that. Old deals crippled it in terms of the talent it can arrange, and so the coaches decided on a style of play that neutralizes teams with deeper rosters full of objectively better scorers. The trouble is that it earned them a reputation as a tough team and refs come in knowing and watching for it. This isn't the same league it was when Guerin or Evason were on the ice. There's very little the Wild can do to against four or five amazing goal scorers but use physicality to shut them down, and that isn't working. So, let's hope they've opted for more discipline and the guys gel like they do at their best, because Cinderella stories do happen and the talent we have is fun as heck to watch when they're firing on all cylinders. But at the same time, let's not be too hard on management or players that've only gotten us into the playoffs when boy, oh boy, lots of teams arguably had way better chances on paper.
