Well it’s do or die. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings. No Quit.

  2. septembers-very-own

Outshot 16-2 in a period where you needed to show ANYTHING.

Gallant needs to be gone, and so do most of these fucking players. Send Panarin and his stupid fucking Nokia back to fucking Chicago.

  3. Brocktarrr

Multiple heads need to roll both in the organization and in the roster for have two complete collapses this year and last

  4. Ianncarl

Well at least I didn’t have to watch that commercial with the kid dancing in the yellow jacket 39x, so that was positive.

  5. jaccw16

Seriously wtf happened between games 2 and 3? I have so many questions

  6. I_Need_Scissors___61

Next game decides the series. If we win I 100% believe we win game 7. If they win, as hot a take as this may be, I think they win the series.

  7. funkingrizzly

Why doesn’t Panarin ever get benched?

  8. hernameisbrennan

SNIFFING AND SMILING AWAY…YOUR DAYS ARE FUCKING NUMBERED, BUDDY. Perhaps the most delusional presser I have ever watched! If this is how they choose to go out, with fake delusional optimism, rather than taking some fucking responsibility and admitting this was a pitiful, pathetic, gutless playoff performance……then they should just forfeit now, because a team like that does not deserve my respect, my support, or my love.

  9. zucarigan

Hard to overstate how epic this collapse will be if we lose game 6, which based on the past 10 periods of hockey seems to be inevitable. We got reverse swept in 6 last season, but we had the excuse of having played 2 7-game series and the team had nothing left in the tank, along with tons of unreported injuries. This squad just gave up, with leadership and coaching staff completely AWOL.

I went from « wow we might actually finish off a series in fewer than 7 games » to « I actually wouldn’t be upset if we blew up the team in the off season. »

Seriously, we’re probably talented enough to make the playoffs again, but what faith will the players or fans have with the stench of this collapse hanging over us?

The players can redeem the situation by actually showing up and pulling off the comeback. I’m not sure what else will.

  10. dothingsunevercould

Well Igor has yet to lose an elimination game at MSG.

  11. MADBARZ

Anything is possible in the playoffs, but I just don’t see consistent effort out of this fucking team. Everyone just looks lazy, sloppy, and unconfident.

The shots aren’t there, the hits aren’t there, and they don’t get physical until they’re down 2-0 and frustrated like some League of Legends nerds.

What the fuck happened to the rousing confidence they emanated?

  12. Blackhawk3422

I’ve seen more spine in a jellyfish, I’ve seen more guts in 11 year old kids

  13. mbsmilford

Well that sucked the big one. I’m not giving up until some has won 4. Long way to go but we were down last year too.

  14. Gbeez22

You guys like 10 goals in 2 games?? Cool! Here’s 2 goals in 10 periods!

*Edit bc I wrote 2 periods by accident

  15. RainandPixels

29 years since a cup win. But yeah the doomers are wrong…

  16. Ain’t over until you lose 4, but we will never win another game if we play like today again. Dogshit effort that could have been 10-0 if it wasn’t for Igor.

  17. TheMillionthMan

Why don’t they have a closed door meeting

  18. New_Capital3267

What a bunch of fraudulent losers. Way to waster a rebuild.

  19. ChopinBallades

Direct quote from Gallant after tonight –

« I thought we played a lot harder than we did the other night, but we couldn’t find a way to get a goal. We had some traffic and I thought the goalie played really well for them tonight. »

    Lmao we’re fucked

  20. RainandPixels

Who is the best coach available?

  21. Mysterious_Wheel

Elimination game? Time to scratch Kakko

  22. greysfordays

I’d just love it if our cup drought wasn’t directly correlated with the start of my existence, being born in july 1994 means I have adorable as fuck baby pics of me in an adult sized stanley cup champs shirt and hat but can’t even say I was alive for it

  23. virtuexru

Vally just NAILED it. Almost a symptom of TOO MANY STARS on this team. Everyone wants their cookie. Egos in the way. They’re not playing as a TEAM OR COHESIVE UNIT.

  24. huskyferretguy1

I decided to not watch HIMYM and Rangers still lost.

  25. ItsHeadbangerG

    I HAVE NOTHING EXCEPT RAGE

    WAKE THE FUCK UP

    See you Saturday.

  26. DatboyGruber

Schneider has been terrible last 3 games. Just blindly throwing picks up the boards. Fumbling pucks. I always said rangers in 7 so optimistic but we need to figure it the fuck out

  27. MarsHotelSouth

Serious question. Could we do like a coaches’ version of an offer sheet and try to grab Cooper from Tampa Bay?

  28. Puzzleheaded_Can_364

Devils fan here in peace. I was at games 1 & 2 and was lucky enough to get access to the players garage after game 2. Players from BOTH teams were so friendly with each other. Shesterkin was chatting up the devils and the boys clearly leave it all on the ice. I think we should learn from the players’ example and keep the rivalry classy, but alive.

Good luck for the rest of the series. Take care folks!

  29. sananablug

Everyone not named Igor Shesterkin need to get their shit together. We r a great team. Win game six in our house.

  30. ccasazza

Let’s think about it. The Rangers had multiple chances this year to step on the Devils throats.

Early January – up 2-0 – if we win we overtake them in points. We lose.

March – if we beat them we can tie them in points. We lose

Last few weeks before the season ends, multiple chances to overtake them in points and get home ice. St. Louis, Buffalo 2x. – drops points in every game.

Team attitude insisted that we didn’t need home ice to win

Now we have the Devils up 2-0 in a series and we’re about to lose again

Everyone likes winning but not everyone likes competing

  31. turtlesbaconpie

We have too much talent on the team to look this bad. I’m convinced Gallant couldn’t win a cup even if he had the mid 80’s Oilers. We have no system that players can fall back on, and our only solution when things are down is just to shuffle the lines up. This isn’t giving the underperforming stars like Bread and Zib a free pass, but a good coach finds a way to get more from their team.

  32. 4The_Mare

Perhaps the most disconcerting part of this game, outside of the final score and lack of offense, is the fact they did nothing to change the series momentum in the 3rd. And I’m not saying go out and score four to win, but do what TB did to us in the ECF last year— make the goalie uncomfortable, put bodies into the boards, stir it up after whistles (although maybe not surprising they didn’t do any of this after seeing their lack of a response to Goodie’s fight). The lifelessness of this lineup, top to bottom, is a complete indictment on the coaching staff and “veteran leaders” in the room.

  33. Future_Washingtonian

Absolutely awful excuse for a game tonight.

Rangers had a few good chances. Bread shooting instead of passing to tarasenko in (the first?) Was painful but understandable.

Us playing ‘end to end transitional rush ALL. FUCKING. GAME. was absolutely inexcusable. Tonight was not rangers hockey.

    Monday was not rangers hockey.

Saturday was the LAST GAME you could say ‘we played well, wasn’t our night’. And even then, meh.

Unless something DRASTIC changes, our season is over Saturday, and it probably won’t take more than 20 minutes to make it obvious.
