  1. Watching wild vs stars and shut the game off after 5 minutes. Watching playoff hockey nowadays is like a pre season soccer match.

  2. The Edmonton oilers have benefitted the most. Draistl and mcdavid can crosscheck, slash and do whatever. But if you touch those 2 is

You are spending 2 minutes in the sin bin. The refs suck. Hitting is all but gone. So sad. The only way edmonton can score is on the power play. Driasitl alway on the right faceoff circle. He can't even skate backwards. Lol.

  3. 100% the rainbow bright brigade is trying to take it over through reffing and gay night

  4. A lot of the old school refs have since retired, thats part of the problem

  5. Out of all the Oilers/Kings penalties you picked the one with a stick between the legs.

  6. the problem is the NHL and player safety want to do what every other sport is doing and go soft. fans are gunna have to accept it. in 5-10 years hockey wont have any fighting and it will be filled with players like McDavid,Fantilli or Bedard. skillfull players but half the fanbase want rough stuff so i expect theyll lose alot of fans or those fans will just accept it like i said.

  7. You guys could be glad for NHL. I recomended you to look on other european leagues. Refs here are bigger snowflakes than your refs. In our league (czech) are teams which has not allowed physicall game by coach. So you will see some small hits rarely. Almost like women hockey… You can see this big difference on juniors international games. Last game of Czech – Canada in group stage was perfect. You could saw czech players which was suprised by though playstyle of Canada and on the otherside, Canadian players which was surprised by IIHF snowflake rules and refs.

  8. the first clip fialas stick is literally in draisaitl's skates?? what are you looking at?

  9. So you're saying that, even though the fans, players, coaches and GMs all agree that the officiating sucks, there isn't a fucking thing any of us can do about it? I say we all vote to depose Napoleon Bettman and replace his worthless ass with someone who will work on making officiating better. Otherwise we could all boycott the playoffs, hit Napoleon where it hurts, in the wallet. I still say that since gambling is legal almost everywhere now and the sheer amount of money changing hands, the temptation to 'fix' games by officials is too great. It's happened in the past. I believe some hockey officials are on the take. They only make or 'miss' calls when they need to change the outcome. Someone should scrutinize every officials bank accounts for 'unusually large' deposits.

  10. The two Foligno penalties used to be called charging. If you have any interest in player safety, you can’t allow a 220lb player to get a 40 foot running start before a check. I would also rather see a hook, slash, obstruction call rather than watch a bum hang all over a McDavid, Draisaitl, etc for an entire series.

  11. I don't have an issue with refs calling stuff. I also don't have an issue with the "let them play" mentality – after all, it IS the playoffs.

What I have an issue with is the inconsistency, not only in how many calls they'll make, but also which penalties actually get called as well. If you're not gonna "let them play" and are going to call shit, then start by calling the most egregious stuff first and then softer stuff later. Serious cases of slashing and high sticks being missed while minor interferences are called is just so fucking stupid. Keep in mind, the Islanders could be up 3-2 in the series right now if they had called that high stick.

  12. As a Seattle fan I’m not just angry, I’m ready to quit watching hockey already. Official doesn’t blow the whistle, then our best goal scorer get smashed into the end boards 4 seconds after the shot and as a fan is catching the puck his head is smashed. All resulting in a 2 minute minor penalty and later just a 1 game suspension. Even though McCann is probably out for the series. Fair? Nope, Justice? Nope. Player safety? Nope. Worth watching anymore? Nope.

  13. Colorado has definitely benefitted the most and still bout be eliminated 😂 2 more games

  14. Why would you show that drai one, he was definitely tripped lol. There were many other penalties you should have showed. McDavid trip on drew that led to goal.

  15. the kings only win because of bad calls, funny you chose the draisaitl trip

  16. This isn't new to the playoffs. I have been calling them out all season long. And my older brother has been very condescending for it. Now its the playoffs and the refs are doing to his team what they've done all year, and it kind of makes me happy lol. Not really though because the refs are still trash and now they are actually important games they are interfering with

  17. I’m an oilers fan and it’s so weird bc the refs totally sold in our favour with that tripping call but the game before the refs sold and costed us the game with bad calls and that high stick.

The refs aren’t biased they’re just awful

  18. I think there should be an overwatch official someone who sits above the rink and gets a great visual of what's going on besides being ice level, which can make judging calls tough for officials, it's one more ref but can maybe be an important one also.

  19. The wild I think have been screwed the most like last night Foligno’s kneeing penalty was horrible

  20. it's like players have to roll a d20 referee check at everything they do, 10 or less gives you a penalty😅

  21. Faligno is maybe not the best example. He had a tripping call not to long ago that was dangerous as hell, almost as bad as the bunting hit

  22. It's been happening for years and is the reason that I don't watch the biggest fix in sports. The NHL needs to get rid of Bettman.

  23. What about reaching around a player and grabbing him be the face/throat after a whistle? This seems to happen all the time in the playoffs, no penalty. No consistency…. the first one in this clip is a penalty, but last night, Charlie McAvoy got choked with a stick after jousting with another player…. nothing. There could have been at least 3 penalties called on that on various players involved, but no….

  24. "The teams and players who get caught up in emotions will lose" – Avalanche really to learn this one and quick.
