  1. Ok I guess…this means that I don’t know bat shit about hockey refereeing because I agreed with the major penalty being called (and at that point the game misconduct was automatic). More importantly the fact that the league directly criticized the refs stands out and hopefully this means a wake up call.

Damn, that’s spicy. What’s the source of this?

  3. AndyJaeven

So will this amount to anything or is the NHL just trying to save face?

  4. HugeRaspberry

So when are the refs going to be demoted to the ahl or ihl?

    oh wait – they won’t.

  5. todaymynameisalex

This amounts to nothing but a moral victory, it’s a MN specialty.

  6. bubzki2

If real this is huge. That’s because it means Wild might be able to play their game.

  7. GreenSalad_12

Wow, so even the league agrees that the refs screwed us? Too little too late, we are in a do or die situation now and as much as I want to believe we can pull off we likely won’t.

  8. Refs better make it up in game 6. Because the majority of the Stars’ goals have been on power plays. Part of that is on us. But if you’re routinely over-penalizing a team that struggles on the PK (or is facing a strong PP team), then you’re gonna screw up the results.

Fuck, I don’t even care if they make it up to us. Just stop calling soft penalties on either side.

Cool…little late for an apology and oops we screwed up since we are one game from elimination. But at least I know I wasn’t being crazy.

  10. stumpybubba

    #LITTLE FUCKIN LATE FOR THAT!

ROPE IN YOUR CUNT ASS REFS, OR I’M IN FULL SUPPORT OF PLAYERS MAKING A RUN AT THEM AS WELL.

  11. Yeah the penalties that probably shouldn’t have been penalties are a real kick in the dick, but the fact of the matter is that you still have to kill penalties. And the Wild cannot kill penalties. You’re not gonna win playoff series with a 60% penalty kill or whatever we got right now.

Thanks for costing us a game you fucking bums

  13. burntfuck

Unfortunately only thing that matters is the officials getting it right on the ice, not a week after the game/s.

  14. Minnesota_Husker

The officials made 3 bad calls and yet will face no repercussions.

That all being said, the Wild need to nut up.

  15. jock2010

So no one else is reporting this but one article behind a paywall?

  16. JWilesParker

Oops, our bad. Good luck next year because we’re certainly not doing anything helpful this year. Oh, and don’t take it personally when the refs continue to make incorrect calls that change games, okay? Bye.

  17. SeanSg1

boy i am shocked! this does not erase the fact that both foligno and the communist missed wide open nets in game 4

  18. theone326

That statement and a dollar will get you….1 can of pop.

This doesn’t even make me happy. So we’re as good as done and it basically is the refs fault for dictating the tone of the games. If we had been allowed to play our game this series might already be over (shut up mom it’s not copium). I’m pretty disgusted with the league and officiating. They may have lost a life long fan.

  20. OP, you are me. I’m reading your posts and thinking “this person even writes like me. Did I write that?” Agree with you. Thumbs up. 👍

    The Minnesota sports way ™️

  22. Oh well then that fixes everything. Just multiple penalties that changed the outcome of multiple games, no big deal.. “NhL OfFiCIaLs are the best in the world“ lol I wouldn’t trust those clowns to find my mail

  23. Foxhockey

Please tell me the officiating crew was disciplined and will officiating tonights game.

  24. MrMisties

HA! WE WERE RIGHT! 모든 퍽을 그리워하게 하세요. Jake Oettinger 그는 실패할 것이다.

  25. Paladad

My one shining light in this is that the boys might be able to play hockey tonight without being in their heads about the refs.

  26. Eatcleanplaydirty

I think a big part of the kneeing being a major was that it appeared Faksa was injured. That is not supposed to factor in but it definitely does.

  27. STP_ExPat

Great, is the series still 3-2 or….?

If you’re looking for an excuse for losing you’ll find it somewhere (try looking in the mirror).
