I don’t see how he’d topple Michkov, Carlsson or Smith if we were drafting 5.

Not a fan of him at picks 5-7. Id prefer any one of Moore, benson,Smith,Leonard or Cristall. I Wouldn’t mind the pickup at 17 though.

I see some negativity here about Dvorsky, but he sure was amazing at the U18s. I don’t think he’s a risky pick at all.
That said, we are likely picking 5-7. If it’s 5th, it’s Smith. If it’s 6th, I say Leonard absolutely. If it’s 7th and Leonard isn’t available, I would like to draft Reinbacher.
But I wouldn’t mind Dvorsky based on what I just saw.

Slaf-Dvorsky-Mesar line will Happen some day… maybe not with the habs tho. but at Olympics or some other tournament. Calling it now

I just don’t get the infatuation with him I’m sorry… I have him in a comparable tier to Yeager or Musty

I do not like him at 5-7 at all. He was absolutely terrible in the Allsvenskan. At 5-7 it should be Michkov, Smith, Benson or Leonard

Dvorsky was highly ranked at the beginning of the year, but was falling in rankings for most of the year. He was seen as being a safe pick. Clear NHL potential but limited upside. His performance at the U18s probably secured him a spot in the top ten.

The top 3 is set in stone, after that you have Smith that’s probably the favorite at 4 as of now at 5 it opens up and I feel like the choices are Dvorsky and Reinbacher from a Habs POV, I’d say by 6 you might add Leonard and at 7 Benson.
I love Benson but I can see how he might have a short prime based on how he plays and how undersized he is. Players with that built and energy don’t often have long primes.
If I’m Hughes and my owner tells me not to rank Michkov before 10 I think my top 7 is
1.Bedard
2.Fantilli
3.Carlsson
4.Smith
5.Dvorsky
6.Leonard
7.Reinbache
7.1 Benson
If I have the 17th pick, I’d take a forward over Reinbacher and target Willander or ASP at 17 if they’re available

I’m ok with it at 7, or the Florida pick.
