Cela ne semble pas vraiment prometteur
Pierre Engvall says he enjoyed his time here but hasn't talked to his agent yet about what the next steps are. Feels like this one is a toss up

Liked what he did for us, we could really use his speed next season
I really miss hutduster days like today
Might be for the best. Isles have too many well paid vets on the roster and he’ll probably get a good deal after his season with the Isles.
It’s not an absolute necessity we re-sign him but I’d definitely like to. We absolutely need to get faster as a team, and Engvall helps in that category.
I think he was good enough for us that another team will offer him more than he is probably worth. Unfortunately we have very little cap flexibility going forward.

Really tough spot with him. That 2nd line seems like something we would want to keep together. But you start running out of roster spots really quickly with Wahlstrom coming back.
His lack of physical play makes me not care too much if he walks, he did score some nice goals for us though
The team website just posted the actual exit interview. I don’t think Kurz is really portraying it accurately. I didn’t get the sense he’s definitely leaving at all:

I think he stays. Pierre is a « Lou guy » through and through that has actually worked nicely so I think he’s going to make an effort to re-sign him vs searching for an equivalent on the market.
I hope he resigns. He’s impressed me with his barzal style zone entry and puck handling. For a big guy he’s quite agile and strong with the puck. My opinion is we need to sign him unless he asks for too much
Let him go. He’s average, like the rest of the guys we have
In a year where the free agent crop is hot garbage, it’s a good year to not have cap space to overpay for hot garbage.
If Engvall is willing to take a short term deal, fine.
I don’t mind him leaving but I don’t think Lou has a suitable replacement. Putting us exactly where we were at the beginning of the season
Id do 3×3.5. We can swing that with some of the other shuffling thatll need to happen
Engvall on that second line seemed to really get Nelson and palmeri skating faster and played very well together. Gotta sign him !
