If Justin Holl had made the same mistake that Brodie made tonight, you would’ve been all over it much harsher, as would the Toronto internet, Leaf nation social media and all of that. Brodie lost us the game. Full stop.
I agree with you that it’s not a regular characteristic of his play to screw up that badly, but that was really hard to watch.
On your podcast previewing the series, one of you pointed out the stick-play of the Panthers- knocking the puck off players at every turn- and they certainly did that all night. We need to find a way to stop that. Maybe more aggressive on the body, or doubling up on zone entries. We are the better team. We need to act like it.
