It's as if everyone forgot how damn good the Panthers were last year. Yeah, they struggled this regular season, but it looks like they have put it together so that makes the Panthers, clearly, a dangerous team.
This game was entirely dependent on which Bobrovsky we got, the civ Bob, or the game 5 against Boston Bob, we got his Vezina trophy form tonight

I actually have Seattle vs Florida in the Finale
I put $100 on Pens to win and another team to win against the panthers. Panthers win both to make the playoffs. I then jumped in and put $100 on game 5 and 6 each betting on Boston to win. I put $300 on game 7 on Boston to win. Panthers win all 3. And I put $200 tonight on Toronto to win. Now panthers up 1-0 in series. That’s $900 already just for Florida to make it to round 2. On every game I bet against the panthers, the panthers win. I’m 6-0. Including game 5, 6, 7 in Boston series. It’s pay to win baby. As happy as I am with panthers, paying for panthers to win is getting expensive for me. I’m not betting on next game. Panthers have to do it without my help on Thursday.
Panthers are on a mission. They’re eyeing the cup. Best of luck to the teams trying to stop them. They’re going to need it.
In the first 10 minutes of the game I came to the conclusion that Florida is in the "zone" this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the Cup. They were President's trophy winners last year and they only got better from there.

The Panthers walks her track in the opposite direction to last year. There they won the president trophy and struggled in the first playoff round. This year they catched the wildcard spot in the last weeks and… – they stopped the bruins in the first playoff round. And the run seems to continue in second round – till he ends with the cup? Who knows
Bob was unreal. Thats one od the best pwrformances from a goalie you can hope for.

Even the recent history is good for Bob in the playoffs, he was fantastic last year. Panthers last year failed because every skater not named Carter Verhaeghe disappeared.

Kudos to Toronto for naming Panthers all 3 stars. So far this has been a great playoffs, although Boston and Colorado fans will disagree! The best might be yet to come.

Honestly IMO it's a tragedy Boston Played florida in the first round. I think Florida just plays the kinda hockey that matches the bruins. But also, Florida is a great team. I die. Think the bruins were bad . But Florida might just be the best team of the post season.

Was very impressed with panthers coming out of the gate w great chances! Panthers definitely need to work on penalty kill. They looked a bit chaotic in their zone when killing penalties. Bob made some amazing saves!! That go ahead goal by panthers, what a shot!!
I have Florida winning over Seattle in 6….bet 14,000 at 5000-1….so who knows.
Florida goalie was very good, Leafs will make adjustments and be way better for game 2 now they have seen what Florida is all about. Good game for Florida they played well, hard and fast/physical Leafs will ramp it up as series goes on. Gonna be a fun one looking forward to next game already Go Leafs Go.
I’m trying not to get to concerned. It was much better than game 1 last round and we won that series. I thought we looked good, Bobrovsky was better. We have to win next game tho.

I needed a nap after that crap. I'm not about to rip apart my team.1…2…3.*breathe* but this only showing up in the last 4 minutes of the 3rd has got to stop. It was cute and lucky VS Tampa. It's pathetic. If you can't flip a puck into the offensive zone, how are you in the NHL? Never mind dump and chase, just dump it in there. I've seen the Leafs play much worse, they had jump, they had energy, but it was brutal watching turn over after turn over, flipping it in the zone barely passing the blue line, against a forcefield that just kept spitting it back out. Credit to the Panthers but my god, leafs were brutal on the breakouts tonight. Yeah they made it close tying it up. I knew they were losing all night. I am all for playoff hockey, no penalties but the officiating was terrible. How does that goal count? Not only does Sammy get bumped and blocked out of attempting a save but Sammy was literally kicked in the face, no mask and we have a scary moment, then buddy falls on top of the goalie. That was BS. i almost smashed my fist through my T.V. And no challenge? 100% refs are too stupid to make the right call anyways but as a coach stop standing there making meme faces, and call the refs out, stand up for your team Coach. I was so mad, my kitties are still hiding. And then the high stick at the end was laughable. It almost wasn't called, the ref litterally had a front row seat for the highstick and still a 5 minute DOUBLE take review needs to happen before doing their job. Disgraceful. Refs win game 1 of this series. Listen leafs lose this with or without the refs but that was horrible officiating. Horrible coaching by Keefe. If you are out coached by Paul Maurice, YOU SUCK and fail, Keefe needs to be benched. Love the human being, great guy but Leafs might as well be home schooled FFS! That game was hard to watch. Way too many turnovers by the leafs this game. Panthers relentless forecheck forcing so many errors. Just like the Boston series
THG is so absolutely dead on correct about the ratings effect. The big US market cities was well represented in LA & NY, the northeast region with the best team this year in Boston, the defending Cup champions in Colorado, all meant max interest & viewership for ESPN/ABC/TNT. My guess is that ESPN could promote the McDavid vs Eichel as like hockey's answer to Magic vs Bird. Turner Sports could shill for the Leafs the way FOX Sports did during the Cubs 2016 magical ride. But how about two Canadian teams deciding the first Canadian team to win the Cup in 30yrs? Canada's team vs Canada's last dynasty, Leafs v. Oilers.
