If Kane has any respect for the Rangers he should return all the money the Rangers gave him. Minus a bus ticket back home. His heart was not in it.
As a LONG TIME Rangers fan, it was disappointing seeing them struggle against the Devils. It seemed like the Rangers don't know how to forecheck and/or backcheck. They allowed a team with speed to use the speed to their advantage and the Rangers did NOTHING to attempt to disrupt the Devils speed game.
I think Kane has been playing with a hip or groin injury since before the trade. He sat those games and seems a bit off with his skating

Patty was the best Rangers skater in games 2, 6 and 7 – in 6 and 7, by a gigantic margin. in those last two games especially, after being absurdly demoted 2 lines and being blamed for Kreider and Zib being bad, he was just amazing once away from those two. they had ruined his game. he generated more offense by himself each of the last two games than the entire 1st line did in those games. just snakebit and unable to finish anything. horrible shooting% for the series. but he was the team's best skater in the series and him and Trocheck at the end were great together, w both Laf and Panarin. should have been them the whole way. only 5v5 lines on the team that could generate anything.
