Carolinas whole team plays as a center, forwards are playing the defensive roll with block shots and stick in the way, while their defense helps them make offense plays and they're explosive. As a wings fan I hope they keep it up
Great start but the canes gotta keep their foot on the gas. We saw what the devils did after going down 0-2 in their series with the Rangers. Go Canes!
The Devils had one shot on goal halfway through the first period. The Canes defense is smothering. The Devils only goal happened on a breakaway when Ghostisbiere lost his edge and went down on the play. Hughes didn’t look so super, Dougie Hamilton was a non-factor, Haula was also a no-show, and but for a single mistake by the Canes defense, it would have been a 5-0 shutout. The Devils will need to re-examine their style of play and fast, unless they want to be down 2 games to none.
Was i the only person to notice Carolina's fourth goal was offside? Noesen preceded Aho's carry/pass entering the Devil's zone. No comment from announcers and no look by the Devil's video coaches. Of course, this video doesn't show the entry…
