Listen, I'm not right often… I'm not saying I could have called this, but the last stretch of the regular season when fla really pulled their shit together they looked like a scary team. Myself a pens fan, thought.."ok, fla is def taking the one wildcard, its a give in. They look possessed." Im really not that surprised they look this good. The one thing i am surprised about, is bobrovsky. My team (the pens) have destroyed that guy too many times to count, so seeing him play like this is surprising. That makes sense. But the guy looks really really good in there. Good for Fla. Fun team to watch

The perception in Toronto for the past few years has been if the Leafs could ever get past the first round, they'd basically go win the Cup. That's basically what Toronto management has been selling Leaf fans after every doomed season. Shanny basically said as much, "we're right there," with whom? A tired and injury TB team that is exhausted from 3 years of going to the finals every year? The problems with the Leafs has never been the first round, it's a problem of passion and hunger to win. Look at Florida, they WANT the Cup, you can feel it in the way they play. They are playing like champions. Leafs are playing like a team that somehow made it out of the first round.
The sad fact is that even if Panthers wins the cup it still won't increase the popularity of the game in the US, especially when they do braindead playoffs scheduling.

i said this from the start of the playoffs the leafs have tried to mould a cup team and they dont play well as a team. They have some outstanding pieces but they dont mesh together. They are trying hard but it doesnt make for a great team its time to sell off some stars and get more players that dont think they are gods gift to hockey. Mathews can go.

I think being behind 2-0 against the Panthers is even worse than it would be against most other teams because they’re so physical that it gets harder and harder to beat them as a series progresses. That was probably a big part of why they were able to come back against the Bruins.

Great games by the Panthers and Bob as a Leafs fan I'm not really worried though we outplayed them in this game and for large stretches of the first game if we keep playing this way and keep on limiting mistakes we will get on the right side here. On the road we have been a better team in this post season for some reason and I know game 3 we gonna be fired up to get a win. Have to keep shooting pucks on net and getting people to the net to bang them in. Not to mention you already know how strong Leafs Nation is represented down in Florida EVEN THO they tried to keep us out nobody will stop us fans from going to see our team anywhere best believe that Go Leafs Go!
